Only thing I know is that the whole "superstar fill seats" is dead today. Hemsworth and Pratt were the closest to getting that status, but Hemsworth never got a role in any hit outside of Thor and Pratt has been actively sabotaged for a while. Once Tom Cruise kicks the bucket or fucks up a stunt and ends crippled, there really won't be any actor left that gets people in seats (well, maybe DeCaprio still has that star power). And it's kind of amazing how the concept of the Hollywood superstar pretty much died int he last 10-15 years. I assume that studios like noname retards cause they are cheaper, so getting a gorilla like Majors is a lot cheaper and easier than getting Denzel to sign in and they probably want to avoid another Scarlett getting too uppity.

Superstars worked by having high charisma and unique people in films being incredibly manly. The modern Hollywood simply does not allow it. Too much nepotism. Stars that burn themselves out on woke and drugs. Too much safety layer over anything. And the same boring low steroid muscle in every guy. Every one of those guys looks the same.

Women is just as bad. All ugly mutts who are the spawn of the elites.

I still can't believe the picked a literal who? D list actor who's biggest claim to fame was a universally panned adaptation of HP Lovecraft's work to head one of the biggest medis franchises of all time.

The only reason I can think why this happened is that at the time BLM/George Floyd worship was at an all time high and Majors is a black nationalist who bears a striking resemblance to Fentanyl Floyd.

Yeah but if it was because of the Floydlook, they wouldn't have cast him as a multiple villain who you'd see getting defeated multiple times.

For those interested, lazy Disney has re-released last year's B&W "Werewolf by Night" special in color.

Doesn't work as well in full color, but I still feel this is one of the best things in the MCU. I'm a sucker for old monster movies).

Madame fucking web? Who gives a flying fuck about Madame Web? A Joker movie with some whore being the Joker or another iteration of Harley? And who the fuck is that in Thuderbolts, how can you even make Thunderbolts work when they Baron Zemo was turned into "some guy" and was the whole soul of the concept?

Jesus fucking Christ, hopefully going back to the bad old days of adaptations will finally kill the genre and "nerd mainstream culture". Biggest societal cancer ever.

It's funnier because Madam Web, Kraven and Venom aren't even legit MCU movies, they're all Sony. Kraven already looks like a meme-tastic Morbius sized flop (I've heard nothing about Madam Web either, so I can assume that's either straight to streaming, a guaranteed tax write-off flop, or in production hell).

Deadpool is now moving to the MCU so that will be interesting to see if the MCU people fuck up Deadpool or if Deadpool fucks up the MCU worse. I guess it will be the most successful MCU movie in quite a while. Which isn't saying much.

Brave New World is on it's second title and third official re-write and re-shoots, so even if it's successful, there's no way it makes back its production costs (although I expect those to be obfuscated as usual, unless Peltz keeps going ape-shit).

And Thunderbolts might very well go the way of Batgirl. Or just get dumped onto Disney+. We'll see.

Joker isn't even Marvel or a capeshit movie, so I don't know what it's doing in there. Other than it's comic book and will probably be shitty.

"Captain Nigger: Flying Nigger and his cuck friend" is going to bomb through the floor; like a goddammed rod from god lol. Will most people even know that they made him Captain America?

I still can't believe Disney didn't fast track bringing the X Men into the MCU stat. Just had to try getting all these foids and niggers in the spotlight when Wolverine and pals could have propped up the IP for another ten years easy.

Between the MCU and the Big Bang Theory, “Nerd Culture” has been taken over by people who wouldn’t give 2 shits if it wasn’t Mainstream, and there’s no real saving it.

Friendly reminder - gatekeep the ever living fuck out of your hobbies. You’ll thank yourself later.

I remember when someone told me his girlfriend was "like the biggest Spider-Man fan ever." but that she didn't know who Mysterio was.

He got mad when I said she sounds like a fake fan because "You don't have to know everything to be the biggest fan of a character!"

That was when I realized that Millenials and Gen Z equate being a braindead consumer with being a fan of a property.

thats not entirely true, it depends on how you define it, of course Adam Driver can't get people to watch some huge CGI blockbuster the way Will Smith could a decade ago. but if its getting people to the arthouse to watch the struggles of a bus driver, he's your boy. Just in general its easy to see that actors can still bring people in, it just has to be budgeted correctly. no more 20/20 deals to star, but maybe scale and backend. Jennifer Lawrence got paid $25 million to star in a film with a budget of $45 million, you can guess if it did well at the box office. Meanwhile if she just worked scale that shit would at minimum be considered a fucking hit right now.

The midbudget movie just got downsized it didn't die, its insane these actors were getting paid a majority of a films budget anyways.

pretty much yeah, calling yourself a fan 20 years ago was like being an alog of a lolcow, you knew everything about all of it. Those stories of getting autographs of grips and best boys that worked on a Star Wars film back in the 1980s or asking about some line or sound effect in an episode from years ago that they wrote expecting a good response. Although it might also be a demographic thing, black musicans don't have fans who have encyclopedic recall of every person they've worked with and show they did the same way your average rock band does. its why Nardwuar's gimmick didn't surprise white musicans in the way it does the black ones, who straight up acted like they were talking to St.Peter. Whites getting trashier and lower class means they're as fairwhether as your average black expects of fans. being part of a team vs being literally fanatical about a piece of work.

So why is the new Captain America subtitled "Brave New World" anyways? Is it just a reference to Captain America being a nignog now?

I think the official reason they changed it is because Brave New World is more optimistic sounding than New World Order (which is hilariously ironic), but I suspect the real reason is that Aldous Huxley's estate is less likely to sue than Hulk Hogan.

Whatever it's called, it's gonna be utter shit.
