All you people talking about a future with CGI actors everywhere should read a very old book called "Too Too Solid Flesh" by Nick O'Donohue. https://www.amazon.com/Too-Solid-Flesh-Nick-ODonohoe/dp/088038767X

It is eerily one of the most prescient novels I have ever read and is old as dirt. There are no more actors, because technology can create any famous actor from cinema history in any role you like. Want to see Orson Wells play Hannibal Lecter? Dial it up and the system will create it for you, face and voice as real as you like (almost). The story follows a group of synthetic actors performing in the last theatre on Earth to audiences of six or seven if they're lucky. It's one of the most bizarre and dark novels I have ever read.

Seriously - it's bang on for what you're discussing.

Oh, and that Guardians trailer? It has Karen Gillian in it as Nebula and it looks like Rocket gets an Otter girlfriend. I will watch. The gold dude looks stupid, though.

EDIT: @Otterly Otter up at the 1:20 mark!
