Why are they bringing in all the “modern” Marvel characters? Aren’t those the ones everyone hated? Like I specifically remember people mocking the shit out of Riri’s(look up what that means, btw. It’s a laugh) backstory.
because the message was deemed ok for consumption after End Game.
pretty much meme which NEW MCU(MSHEU) was passed for female-centric MCU end the male patriarchy.
The end goal for the avenger movie for cash out is supposed to be A force movie.

*Pretty much this quote is the end answer*
So what I'm getting from this trailer is that she is unearned better than Hulk in every meaningful way because she's female for no apparent reason. Aliens? Terminator 2? These heroines were liked because they were capable and motivated by virtues. Current writers don't distinguish between being a capable woman and humiliating men. In fact, I believe that's what they like.

In the comics She-Hulk got a trade-off. She wasn't near the Hulk's strength but at the same time she could maintain her intellect and personality - albeit a version of herself that was essentially on a permanent buzz / slightly drunk. What I'm seeing in this trailer is someone who is just better than a popular hero because. It's like the Worf effect, really. How can we sell this character as great? Have her humiliate existing character X. Shuri is correcting Stark's engineering whilst repairing Vision, She-Hulk is out-throwing Hulk, the WASP is out-fighting Ant-man (not as egregious but on the spectrum), Captain Marvel is out-doing Thor with the big stuff. Scarlet Witch is out-magicking Dr. Strange. The pattern is repeated over and over. Establish well-liked male hero. New female character is introduced by trouncing male hero without earning it.

Fuck. Skipping that, then. The relationship between Antman and his daughter was the best part of those two movies. I don't want to see him arbitrarily turned into a bad father for Plot.

I should write an essay called "Memoirs of my larval phase". I can intellectually recall times when this stuff excited me but not the associated emotion. Looking back it just seems like Stimulus-Response rooted mostly in a desire to fit in / go with the group. Having more perspective from less free time is certainly a part of being more selective but I genuinely think we're just all in the process of waking up more over time. And that modern Western society is experiencing a very prolonged psychological childhood. Trying to imagine our fathers or grandfathers getting excited about collecting little plastic dolls or spending all night playing video games is just weird. Their wives would have thought they lost their minds.
Yes, I do hate antman3 movie spoiler saying Scott gets blind by greed over his daughter.

Whoopsie.

F's in the chat for fellow daredevil bros, at this point I feel like they should have just left the character and series alone to not fuck up its legacy and good will instead of the trashy MCUfied shit were going to get. Even the writers for the main daredevil show are some no name faggots who previously worked on a CW show...

I like Charlie Cox, and think he's a good Daredevil, but it's clear that he was willing to say and do just about anything to get the role back. His career has been basically inactive without it.
I think that that they could've gone with a recast. Cox will be 42 by the time the time they start filming the "first season" of this Daredevil reboot. It isn't like RDJ where he can disappear into the CGI getup and not have to perform physically at all. Daredevil's gotta be around a lot and stay around for a long time, and 18 episodes is going to be a brutal fucking shoot.
To be fair, the MCU does a much better job of adapting those divisive characters than it might seem at first. Lady Thor and America Chavez are probably the prime examples.
Gotta disagree saw Multiverse of Madness and couldn't believe how bad and useless America Chavez was. No charisma or reason to be there taking up screentime in a Doctor Strange movie. Her arc was non-existent, and she only unlocked her power because Strange gave her a pep-talk about how she's "always been in control" when she expressly hasn't. Her powers and position as the only person in the multiverse who doesn't have any variants are a plothole in themselves too. The idea that she'll ever headline an Avengers movie is almost depressing. Lol

Take it with a grain of salt, but even some of Jane Foster Thor's 20 fans have said that Portman doesn't do particularly well with the role, which even I'm surprised by. But the role itself is inherently flawed, and giving it to Waiteehee basically guaranteed failure.

They don't care! These are the new, un-problematic faves, and YOU. WILL. LOVE. THEM. OR. ELSE!

I think Universal still owns the rights to Hulk so he can't have any solo content. It's why he's always a cameo or a part of a bigger story.
Yeah it's a split deal with Universal where if Hulk is ever considered to be the "main character" ie appearing in more than 50% of screentime, then it's a Universal movie, and Universal will have "first right of refusal to distribute". In other words, it would become a Universal movie, not a Marvel movie, and Universal would get all the box office $$$.
She looks like she’s trying to cosplay as an Autobot.

Her first suit, made from tech Tony Stark donated to MIT which she then stole, was totally not based on Optimus Prime a completely original design that she very quickly moved from and into a more standard looking Iron Man suit.

Compared to the America that talks like a Latino at Sotomayor University, being bland in MoM is an improvement.

It's an improvement compared to her comic version, there's a reason her creator Gabby Rivera got her own thread here.

Kek, that's Optimus Prime from Transformers Prime. Except monochrome & not badass.

I dunno. I mean, don’t get me wrong I am not trying to make you like America Chavez. I am not a fan of her either.

It’s just that she was a huge improvement from the comics were she unironically had “Holy menstruation” as a catchphrase and seemed to be written to be the most annoying and wokest character ever. She just exists to tick all the woke boxes and virtue signal.

MCU’s America Chavez is not the greatest character or anything, she is mostly forgettable , as you said, but she was still much more likeable as a runaway girl. And she was at least believable as a teenager.

Even her bizarre backstory is more palatable in the MCU, because you can just shrug it off as the multiverse being weird. In the comics it’s just nonsensical how she is somehow a proud Latino but also from another dimension of lesbians?

It's obviously not going to be on the level of the Netflix show, but hopefully with Moon Knight being how it was and Deadpool 3 supposedly getting an R rating (last I checked) these fears of it being too Disneyfied will be unfounded. Hopefully. What I'm most curious about is why 18 episodes? Why this show in particular?
Idk man, i felt moonknight was trash and such a massive let down, I expected it to be something unique and different like daredevil but this was just your average soulless MCU shlock when there was so much potential with the character. I have no hope for blade and even daredevil seeing how they fucked this up.

His love for his daughter is his one, consistent character trait.

I just watched the latest She-hulk trailer. Odds they did rewrites and reshoots?

The character and concept are still a turd. Strange downplayed it, which is why its more palatable.

So they're attaching a literal "some guy" who was behind one of the most mediocre and "meh" entries of the franchise to date to direct their big tentpole blockbuster?
https://youtube.com/watch?v=4Ru8DMW-grY
Shang-Chi was well directed if nothing else, so I agree with Crackas on the cautious optimism thing. The Russos did well enough with their films but by the end it felt a little by the numbers, so it's good to have some fresh blood on the bigger films.
