Kang's already been taken down ants, it's not like his rep's gonna get hurt any further by having Doom usurp him. Shit, He Who Remains has had a more effective legacy than the Conqueror variant so far.
Kang invasion in full swing, all seems lost and the Kangs are about to win, one of the Kangs gets revealed as a Doombot infiltrating the ranks, grand reveal of Doom and his army coming from another universe or whatever to 'save' the heroes complete with a big grandiose speech, the heroes think he's a bit over dramatic but on the level and buy a sob story about the Kangs attacking Latveria, even brings his Skroll detecting tech, cue end credits scene of him hording the Kang's tech and revealing this all somehow fucks over Reed Richards.

I like the idea of a doombot pretending to be tony before the real doom shows

Since we are shitting out ideas, I would have left endgame for the end of the next phase and had a whole phase with "half the world vanished and consequences" and use that to set up new characters. Of course it would mean fuck all since they set up shit, but this was the moment to put out a Thunderbolts movie for example. Also, all the avengers should have been snapped except Tony and Cap to give them their sendoff, but everybody else new blood.

Actually this would've posed a neat and interesting problem - either don't kill off your best characters with the snap, which would render it less consequential; or do a phase without a bunch of your best/most profitable guys. I mean there's always flashbacks, magic and clones or whatever - ways to still get them in movies - but you'd actually have to think and plan shit out to do that.

A post-Snap world with an entire religion worshipping Thanos on Earth could have been interesting. To normal people, the Snap is a Biblical event and they'd be coming up with all kinds of bizarre justifications of why it happened. Like literally every store sells things 1/2 off all the time or you can only get pizza that's half of a topping or for families that have twins, they have to give up one for adoption. Everyone's got to wear a Two-Face suit or something equally cargo cult. Our heroes are naturally opposed to all this craziness, but they have to be the Resistance because the average person is a Thanos worshipper.

the sports channels, the larger catalog of movies and IPs,
pretty sure this very website is worth more than Fox Sports and most of Fox's catalog of IP is shit, besides the xmen. their highest grossing films besides X-men related films are dreamworks (which sort of gave up making films), Ice Age (which hasn't released a new film in almost a decade), 90s disaster movies, and James Cameron.

With the totally not astroturfing I’ve seen floating around to try and make Majors seem irreplaceable, I feel like it’s a good time to dust off this one IMG_9129.jpeg
Too bad they tipped their hand that every Kang Variant is identical. Does make it harder to pivot should legal issues crop up like they have…

Eh.... Hollywood cults are always thinly veiled demonization of Christianity. It's also an event too random to actually base a religious belief on. If anything I can see Environmentalists trying to put the argument that the population needs to be decimated the same way every year by some lottery that they control, but still it's just world building rather than an actual threat.

It certainly would have been interesting and a great way to break with the standard rules for a bit, but like the funny books that it's all based on, the status quo must be restored as fast as possible, so they chickened out. And unlike the snoozefest that the new phases have been you could at least have considered them ballsy even if they crashed and burned doing this as well as giving a lot more weight to Endgame that just felt like a constant asspull of a movie once you start thinking on what actually happened and how little impact the prior one had.

No, people would be looking for deeper meaning for what happened when the Apocalypse event happened and there was half of Thanos's army left where his lieutenants did know what Thanos wanted, so they would be the high priest caste that gained power after Thanos's retirement.

In the very first Iron Man movie, Tony did do the "this is his life model decoy" in trying to not open the door for someone he didn't want to get a talking down from. So having a doombot impersonating Tony or another hero isn't farfetched as far as the MCU is concerned.

So when The Marvels inevitably flops what will the MCU fags blame? Will they blame the evil, alt-right trolls that just hate woman or will they finally realize that the steeply declining quality of the films has turned off the general audience.

They're going to point to all of the big bombs/underperformers this year and say it's a trend, that people don't like theaters anymore, it's all covids fault.

Shit like that.

They're already trying to pin it on Incel Boycotts

That actually sounds like a win, but not for the reasons they believe. It would be an admission that the "Incel" audience is big enough to affect the box office of a major movie. The more they talk about who these "Incels" are, the more they reveal incel just means regular people. Regular people just think, "I'm not interested in this movie and they're calling me an incel? Fuck them."

Life Model Decoys were a pretty big thing in Agents of Shield (which was actually good after the first few seasons). So much so that they were routinely referred to as LMDs and you were expected to know what that meant.

I'm not sure where the canonicity of AoS stands though. Probably somewhere between an MCU movie and Netflix Daredevil.

There is the classic question in superhero media how much the common citizen knows about events. On one hand "aliens did it" is a shit excuse, on the other hand there is probably footage of the spaceship.

Didn't Marvel marketing tell men not to watch their female protagonist films?
