Martin is an excellent, maybe even perfect example of the German word Backpfeifengesicht, whose rough translation is, "A face badly in need of a fist".

I learned about Martin Shkreli through his acquisition of the company producing Daraprim, and from the moment I saw him during those interviews, and learned what he'd done to such a vital medication for the obvious sake of turning a profit rather than helping those in need, I knew I'd fallen head-over-heels in my hatred for him. I do make a vested effort to avoid A-Logging or voicing any obvious hostility, but I can't help but feel an exceptional amount of joy in knowing this ball of grease will be squirreled away for quite some time.

I can't even begin to understand why someone would donate money to a politician for the purposes of them getting you out of trouble and pick Sanders in the same election where Clinton and Trump have been in the front of the pack.

Not to mention he did the whole thing after becoming universally despised in the popular conscience. If he donated the money in 2014, he'd've a chance at a Presidential Pardon and Clinton and Trump wouldn't even bother giving the money back. Charles Keating knew enough to do that.

Because he's not terribly smart or good at reading people. Sanders is the last candidate in this race who could be bought that way, and frankly, his reputation is such shit that even the more cynical politicians in the race would tell him to take a hike just for a chance to look good.

I think it was clear to Martin that he was not my Prince Charming, or my “Prince Pharming”; nor was I his manic pixie dream girl.

I am not trying to excuse his professional behavior or say he’s a good person. (I can’t really tell from one date and occasional text communication.) But he’s a lot more interesting and complex than I would have imagined.

Damn. Those Germans have a word for everything! So many people I know have said that this douche has such a punchable face. He's literally the person that if you see him you just want to bop him one.

He's a shyster and a conman who managed to scam his way into the lifestyle and position that he has and I hope he gets the book thrown at him. Problem is, with his money, he'll probably wind up going to Club Fed or manage to wind up in one of those places that has private prison cells that are more like hotel rooms.
