I don't think I've ever seen people argue against the free flow of information so hard in favor of this game. As someone a few replies back put it: "This game is genuinely mindbreaking people like I haven't seen in a while."

Yeah the models for guns and characters look straight up ripped out of a roblox game. I'm guessing most of the budget went into marketing seeing that bungie is still releasing these hecking epic marvel cinematic trailers as the only redeeming part of the art style is the map and the way the characters look in the animations themselves.

There's nothing happening in D2 to talk about, though. No new content, not even flipping the "Iron Banana this week" switch. The most you can do is put out a Xur weekly inventory video. Normally there would be a seasonal cadence to work through, even in the post-EoF environment, but that's been put on hold too.

Yeah, that makes sense. Naturally, they’d go somewhere that has content to talk about or view heavy. I guess I’m just jaded that none of them have given bungie shit either privately (that we know of) or in public on videos. It really chaps my ass that Aztecross is almost gleefully sucking the Bungodick, I used to like him a lot but he really is just a shill, basically an employee at this point.

It's the same reason YouTube removed dislikes (at least there's extension to fix that). We're lucky Valve/Gaben isn't aligned with these people.

I mean, I get it's meant to be cheap and disposable, but Cyberpunk 2077 did something similar with some of its designs without them ending up looking like shit.

Not at all, but so far every Tarkov streamer I've watched with some regularity has had good things to say about it. People who like the genre like the game so I don’t think it’s going to reach the player numbers of the other Concordian titles and it hasnt so far. It’ll probably settle into a smaller, hardcore niche audience. That said, a dedicated niche doesn’t necessarily protect it and an executive could still decide to pull the plug tomorrow.

I’ve said it before, four maps don’t make a game. It’s fine for now, but for the game to have any kind of lasting community, they’d need to at least triple that number before shutting things down.

Do they already have this content finished or is it still in development? If its the later, probably GGs for this game.

I mean, if I put aside my hatred for companies like Bungie and personal gripes about PvP shooters, this would've been fine as a small side project for the studio. But for Bungie it ain't, as far as I know. They're betting on it for survival.

As one of the last Destinycans left I can say without a doubt that Aztecross is the shilliest of the bungo shills out there. He gets shit on by his own chat all the time and he loses his shit and starts hollerin at his mods to ban people Wings style. He's been the top streamer for Destiny for a long time because he's the only one that isn't a total doomerfag like the rest of the destiny streamers (even though he clickbaits all the time with his videos with doomposting titles and thumbnails).

Yeah I saw Datto’s video after the announcement that shadow and order was delayed and, goddamn, nigga needs a hug lol.

I always thought those were jokes, Cross having mods ban people, because it came off as very bombastic and kind of showman like. But, if it’s real, then he’s gayer than I thought. Like I said in my earlier post, I don’t blame these people for shilling, I understand it’s a job, I just wonder why they won’t go to bat a little harder for the game and community that gave them their fuckin’ careers.

I can't find it at the moment, but on /v/ any time there's a thread involving the Steam Charts site, somebody invariably posts "ban steam charts threads". Somebody searched the archive for that phrase and found that exact post over 2,400 times in the past few years. "What kind of autism is this?" was the query alongside that observation.

Looking at real data genuinely bothers some people. Even the actual devs and publishers hate it enough that they'll complain about Steam Charts then ignore all replies asking "well how about the real numbers, since you probably have them?"

Nothing refutes rumors of poor sales like good sales numbers. Nothing sidesteps the fact that if a game was selling like gangbusters, they'd be crowing it from the rooftops themselves. The absence of those posts is a deafening silence that can't be refuted. God it makes them seethe when people point that out. I fucking love it.

When the game started development the consensus of the industry was that extraction shooters would be the next big thing after battle royale.

Marathon was in dev hell for a bit so it’s late to a party that never really started..
