Yesterday or the day before, I linked to a post where an ex-user called the site a cult. Thinking about it and looking at the forums, I think this might actually be true.
See this thread, for example: http://manhood101.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&p=91607&sid=5d9e1f83ca8c9077bc52b8ba0b676c0e#p91607
Every single one of Professor's posts ends with an image (or more) which reminds the reader what site they're on. That's one of the things cult leaders do to inculcate the cult's mentality into you: remind you of where you are, why you're there, and the value of being in versus out. And then there's the way that ex-members or members who cut themselves off from the collective are punished: their name is changed, their avatar is changed into that of the crying baby, their posts are edited.
There's also a huge emphasis on "I can teach you the ways to fix your life...provided you pay me money." I know the site offers "scholarships", but even Scientology offers free tests and content in order to draw hopeless, depressed people into the fold.
Buddy, what was the point of making another account? Isn't going through the captcha once torture enough?Keyboard warrior claim: it's a money making scam!! We caught them!!!
Oh wait...
LOL! and now we know the real reason these cowards refuse to live debate. They don't want to get caught looking like fucking morons as usual.
I figure it would be like the Jim Sterling vs. Digital Homicide "debate".Definitely reeks of similarity to Scientology-style cultism, from the few topics I've been able to read over there and your descriptions of the ones I've missed.
For the "Professor" (Obviously wants to feel special about himself, likely because he failed to get any actual meaningful qualifications) it definitely seems to be about control of his herd/flock/sycophants through a carrot/stick mentality leading heavily towards the stick.
This suggests he has almost zero control in his own life and tries to minimise the recognition of that by controlling others, which further shows through in his thoughts about relationships. Some of which are frankly quite disturbing- the number of incidences where he seems to be advocating extreme physical abuse to the point of leaving clear bruising and damage is quite high, often linked to apparently minor shit in the "relationship" ideal that he concocted in his head.
That and his attempt at drawing people into debates seems more like a (poor) attempt at morale boosting for him and his cult- if he somehow "defeats" people inyelling and insulting people"debate" and proves his primacy/superiority/giant testicles he hopes his little fanboys/brainwashed muppets will be more inclined to follow him and believe his every word. Nevermind the fact he actually appears to have no idea of how a debate actually works, or that he seems to be on the losing end of any actual debate. As people have postulated before, he only wants to do it "Live" so he can essentially steamroll the opponent with yelling, heckling and abusive language- he's basically that scared of letting the other people get their logical, well thought out arguments in that he utterly refuses to let them, hence the seemingly psychotic aversion to text-based debates or discussion.
I wonder what level wizard he is..
This one is my favorite.
It's just so blatant and clickbaity. The blue and orange that's been a big fad with movie posters the past few years, "Get the facts" slogan like those anti-smoking ads, and the before and after style pics that are used in meth ads.![]()
All he's missing are some flashing blinkies.
Apart from thehas anyone claimed this actually helped their dating life?
Perfect. That should help douse their sperg-flame.Looks like KF's thread on Manhood101 is already on the first page of Google, @manhood101.com
It's a favorite tactic of assholes to scream that you need a reference or source in a verbal argument. Also it's interesting that he has a detailed thread about how science isn't authoritative and is misused. It's technically correct but it clearly exists simply as a reference to give cult members who stumble upon proper scientific findings in contradiction to his own crap.As people have postulated before, he only wants to do it "Live" so he can essentially steamroll the opponent with yelling, heckling and abusive language- he's basically that scared of letting the other people get their logical, well thought out arguments in that he utterly refuses to let them, hence the seemingly psychotic aversion to text-based debates or discussion.
Fairly certain the first woman is Christina Hendricks, aka Joan from Mad Men. She's admitted it interviews in the past to being a feminist.
