The rightwing politics aspect of Malfoid gives me mirth tbh.

The art appeals to a romanticized past of chaste love, nostalgic memories of school and traditional family life, but it is also inside the wrapper of anime degeneracy. This incongruence exposes a strange schism in rightwing politics. They either latch onto it or get enraged. It is quite ridiculous and funny.

What else could it be wrapped in? Western Animation is dead and California killed it.

This was western animation half a century ago. Also, lol how something made before the people who age restricted it were born can't be embedded but slop made now can be.

This is western animation now.

Fundamentally its not at all about what is real. Art isn't about reality. Nobody seriously believes "Malfoid" is a real woman or could ever be a real woman. That is not the point. The point is the art representing the theme, which reveals the true form.

I am not going to explain that last phrase. If you know, you know. If you don't, enjoy your porn.

I just like that for once it came from a place of relative wholesomeness, and reminds me of the shit that used to be more common before one-platform chumps shat up everything, and western markets chose to commit the longest suicide ever.

It reminds me of the stuff from back when I first joined the site tbh.

Malfoid isn't specifically for chuds; she is for those who enjoy the idea and the yearning for chaste romance and shit; not for supporting 21st century political ideals.
On a most basic level, Malfoid provides better themes for the narrative in ways that are stunningly obvious in retrospect. As Toddard would say "It just works". All the silly memes, thot patrolling, and tranny seething are just bonus.

Malfoid is not about chaste love imo. Malfoid and sex is about putting sex in proper prospective: it is special, and for someone special. Your spouse. To make a successful union with that person, the person you were "meant" to be with, and to make a family with that person, for the rest of your life. Which is the surest and truest path to happiness blah blah blah cringe but true shit

Yunayu's Malfoid marathon stream concluded after 4 & a half hours, 200k+ views and 16k likes - by far the artist's most successful stream ever compared to everything else on her channel, and for obvious reasons. Her final art pieces & messages before the end:

Some other Malfoid art I found along the way,

We are all having a lot of fun with the whole chud humor side of things where Malfoid is the smug racist noticer, but what really makes this appealing to me on a genuine romantic level is the posibilities offered by that exchange of perspectives, how it could change the context of formative experiences, and how that could change the outcome of entire character arcs. For Harry, that could mean learning from a Malfoid how to be more focused on an abstract purpose, how damaging it can be to take half-measures when the stakes are high, and a less naive sense of groups, individuals, and their real motivations. For a Malfoid, it could mean learning a more concrete sense that right is right and wrong is wrong, that most people can hold some worth and moral good in them despite all signs to the contrary, and that it's never too late to decide that you don't like a certain version of yourself, even if becoming that person seems inevitable. It isn't anything as simple as 'Harry teaches Malfoid empathy' or 'Malfoid makes Harry a chud', but more like showing how how two disparate but complementary perspectives can temper each other into new versions of the same basic people, that are now healthier and happier in regards to the world they live in.

Idk give me the puzzle pieces but it has a unique and unexpected appeal to the tortured and abused romantic in me.

This is what I tried to do here.

So Cassiopeia was one of the suggested names, as well as Hydra (also constellation), Tiamat (or Tia), Karina, Draecena, etc. People could never agree. This foid meme came so apropos. And in the light of recent events, I would argue, this trend laundries it a bit.
And generally makes things better.

"Its tranime goonslop!" Yeah just minus the fanservice, fetish content, sexual content and other chink related garbage. So yeah its just like tranime but without everything that makes it a tranime or goonslop. So not at all.

This is getting off topic a bit, but its fun, and also is explanatory for why this "meme" landed so hard.

Fundamentally what Chastity is is not a rejection of the desire of men and women to be together. Its not abstinence. The first primal command of God to all creatures is to be fruitful and multiply. But as being made in Gods image, there is a standard. We cannot just be animals. There are parts of what makes us human that is divine, that set us apart from animals.

Now, you can put a fedora tipping atheist spin on this by pointing out human children are helpless for many years after birth. That the caring demands of a human infant are severe when compared to other mammals like Mice or Rabbits. Or even deer. An infant deer can run after an hour from birth. By contrast a human child may start being able to run competently after five years, never mind an hour.

Whether by divine providence or simple evolution, its undeniable that human pair bonding between men and women is essential for raising children, and is also the core social dynamic of EVERY human society irrespective of culture or religion. We are hard wired to understand this, and notice when its not present. Any mythic story in which the male is a protagonist has to have that romantic hook of a woman involved. We could write entire essays explaining WHY its needed, but to put it simply Rowling wrote a male protagonist hero, but fundamentally did not understand a key component about what makes male heroes compelling to other men. Its not enough that they defeat the big bad. There has to be a return home to the village and the wife. And it cannot be an afterthought.

Tolkien understood this in Lord of the Rings. All the main characters got the girl at the end, and the girls were not afterthought. Such as Eowyn and Faramir. The only guy who didn't get the girl at the end was Frodo, and this was explained explicitly at the end that Frodo could never find peace in Middle Earth due to how damaged his soul had become due to proximity to the Ring and Sauron, and the fact that at the very end he failed in his quest and took the Ring for himself. So his only peace could be found by going to the undying lands in the west to rest in the light of the Ainur. Making his end bittersweet, but also poignant as well.

No sex in Lord of the Rings either. But Aragorns kids didn't come from nowhere. JKR never did understand this. Which is why its absent entirely. It was not relevant to her conception of things, and its not a knock on her. But its also why most of her fans felt like something was missing.

No formation fighting either, or the ability to engage in set piece engagements with combined arms. Now, lets be real. JK wasn't writing military science fiction, so she never really thought about what the implications of Vodlemort trying to enslave the muggles would actually be. I think in her mind, he would have just used a massive obliviate and imperius curse to enslave the muggles en masse without a shot having to be fired.
I never understood this argument tbh. Wizards can be completely undetectable by normal means, can teleport wherever they want, and literally mind control people. Assuming they really wanted to I see no reason wizards wouldn't be able to mind control heads of state and other important people to do whatever they needed them to do to rule the world.

Well 3 different reasons. In the order of the phoenix Kingsley is on tv with the British PM, so they work with them but not very closely unless it affects them and the mandate on secrecy. Another thats explored in Magical Marvel: The Rise of Arthur Hayes is there is a not small number of muggleborns that cant find work in the Wizarding world so they live in the muggle one. After all there are only so many Gringotts and Hogwarts spots available and most stores are family owned. So have a war and they might not side with you. That sort of kills most cloaking techniques from that point forward, even with just one motivated witch. Not to mention all of them dont keep up with advances in tech. Sure 20th century brit tech might be confused for a while but layer on surveillance satellites and new fields of research and the protection disappears before you notice. I dont think it matters if you create a notice me not when someone starts to notice discrepancies in nuetrino measurements on the opposite side of the globe. Now try to explain that threat to someone whos content with the status quo.

HP kinda sits at the tail end of a theoretical hidden society.

You've quite eloquently made the point I wanted to make but couldn't manage to make a good post about. Wizards in the modern world would not fight a stand up war, and I don't think they'd try to conquer the mundanes. Theirs would be a game of influence and intrigue either working with the non magical nations of the world or subverting them from within. They'd do spy/diplomacy stuff using their hat of tricks that is deep and full of magic, or go full Hellfire McGonagall and bring the firepower of an artillery battery and the glamour magic to remain undetected while doing Snake Eater shit in the jungle. Being able to slag a surprise tank coming around a corner with a fancy stick and a fraction of your magical power is great for small unit stuff but you can't scale that up to magical armies.

Magic in HP doesn't seem to operate on anything resembling logic. Entire buildings can be concealed from both all magic and muggle means of detection with the Fidelius charm, and satellites already existed when HP took place and magic schools were still undetectable to muggles.

It's not like Rowling fleshed any of this out, but what we can infer from what we see with magic operating is that 'detect me not' is going to cover basically anything muggles can actually do.

Regarding the 'traitor' aspect, it doesn't help if no one believes you and the most powerful people in the muggle world are already all compromised. Think of how much power a wizard would have just from controlling Trump, Putin, and Xi, lol.

"lol, it's magic, I don't have to explain shit!" says the shitty author who does no research. We can map entire underground complexes and detect the slightest variation in gravity of any point of the planet. Nevermind using satellites, people are going to notice the hundreds of owls, some species of which don't live in the UK, flying in and out of an old ruin holding letters constantly.

Eowyn & Faramir nothing, that gigachad Sam married Rosie Cotton after returning home and they pumped out 13 kids together, certainly not celibate monkish behavior. Even in HP itself the Golden Trio certainly had multiple kids at the end.

Bro I didn't write this shit, I'm just saying HP magic doesn't seem to operate on logic or physics. If it makes everything just "look normal" no one is going to know to even look for anything.
