Anyone have experience with sugar waxing? Specifically the face/neck area since the hirsutism is becoming a nightmare. So sick of shaving and epilators or hair removal cream irritate the hell out of my skin. I'm generally good with waxing but have only ever done the eyebrows with Gigi Honee. My concern is multiple stories of acne breakouts after sugaring so I'm not sure if I should just stick to conventional wax.

Mine are hooded as well and I have oily skin, so even waterproof products smudge on me within hours.(:_(

I've pretty much given up on liner and go only mascara and smokey eyeshadow, but I'll give stuff a try if someone shills it here.

I have hooded eyes and I gave up on eyeliner a long time ago i like the cat look people with regular eyes have. I use eyelashes now and I love them more than eyeliner. I love how I look with eyelashes and with hooded eyes I don’t like how the eyeliner looks either. Lashes changed my life

Why is it so hard to find dresses and skirts in retail stores? I mean casual stuff. I hate pants. I wear leggings under stuff when it's cold. But I only have one pair of jeans and they are usually relegated to wearing to the laundromat. I wear pants so infrequently that people are shocked to see me in them.

When I see skirts they are either flimsy crap or sexy. I just want regular stuff. And dresses that aren't for parties or thots? Forget it. I'm lucky if I find one or two per year.

I can't but any clothes at the moment. Not even used. But I want to be able to walk into a store and not see 9000 pairs of jeans and some belly tops and nothing else. *sigh*

Duluth Trading Company? Depends on your feelings on skorts, but their dresses are definitely just plain clothes for wearin'.

Babydoll dresses are perfect. They are short but not too short, but also not tight so they are appropriate and not too oversized that they look frumpy. They look super cute in my opinion. They have a very characteristic yet versatile silhouette and you can style them to fit whatever vibe you're going for. Just look at how they were worn in the 60s and 90s.

And because they aren't in fashion right now you can find them for very cheap second hand. I have one from American apparel and it's my fave ever, its one of the first dresses full stop, it has the exact right length. Which if you are petite and everything is too big or long on you, is a very specific type of joy lol.

There are a lot of modest clothing sites but they're usually not cheap and run by Mormons which I personally refuse to support monetarily. This one is the only one I can think of that doesn't give off Momo vibes (possibly some branch of loose anabaptist being in PA) and has frequent sales.

If you have the time, skirts are extremely easy to sew and very customizable. I've looked into making my own clothes again recently because everything is flimsy and doesn't cover or fit me. I frequent the men's sections since their clothes are cheaper and more durable but only marginally and those don't fit me in different, slightly less worse ways.

If you do consider the sewing route, here's two pinterest boards for ideas and some free patterns X and X. So Sew Easy also has a stock of free patterns. Machines can sometimes be found at thrift stores but ebay or FB are good too. Just make sure they work before taking one home. If you don't want to buy, they can be rented from craft/fabric stores. Depending on the material and design, the skirts can also be hand sewn.

Buy from orthodox jews?

Does anyone know where to get the California mango line nail oil and body cream? I used to buy this stuff all the time at Sally beauty supply and the no longer sell it in Canada. I can't find it online for some reason either. It was amazing and smelled incredible.

Any beauty stores near you for black people? The ones that sell wigs? I'd check there.

I'm sure you've looked already, but is this the same stuff?

I can’t recommend this option enough! A circle skirt is incredibly easy to make in the right size, as are 5-, 7-, or 9-panel skirts, which can be customized to your preferred length. Even absolute beginners in sewing should be able to make a simple skirt. The process itself isn’t difficult; the main challenge is preparing the pattern, which is super straightforward with a circle skirt

I bought my first foundation :stress: L'Oreal true match in shade 0.5 N...!

I like the shade undertone and and the very light coverage a lot. Fair Cool Olive approved.

The consistence is runny but dries down fast and doesn't feel heavy at all. Tried some samples and it's thinner and has less oxidation than the Maybelline Skin tint. It has a natural matte finish but doesn't look/feel dry.

cheaper than the other alternatives at least in the store I went to. Pleasantly surprised. I always thought L'Oreal was on the more "adult", expensive side of drugstore brands, and on lip products it still is... But now Maybelline and Nyx are more expensive, at least in the Comolexion products area. (:_(

I'm curious. Kiwis that use foundation/tint/whatever, which is your first choice and why? What kind of formulas or finishes do you prefer?

and what products have you been using the most lately? For me that would be MAC Rebel and New York Apple and my NYX butterglosses 8)bare face bold lip is the best bang for your buck IMO.

I think there was a mistake at Huda when they sent my package. The glosses discovery kit is supposed to come with a dark brown shade (Coco) but I got Foxy (a lighter, reddish brown) instead. Hey I'm not complaining, I'm pretty pale so an ultra pigmented dark brown gloss would have looked like shit on me. Only problem: I'm going to have a duplicate lying around. But as long as it's unopened it's fine I guess...

What's with all the mistaken packages I'm getting? Another order in another site sent me a lipstick when I asked for eyeliners, it's been a week since I called them to send me the correct product and still no answer >:(

I've gone through a couple bottles of L'Oreal Hyaluronic Skin Serum/Tint/whatever the full name is, in the shade Very Light. As far as I understand, there is absolutely no reason for it to have the hyaluronic acid, but I still think it's a great light coverage tint for a good price. Also cool undertone friendly. The finish is very dewy but I powder myself afterwards anyway, so if anything it's good to have a greasy looking base. I also like runnier formulas like this. It's easy to accidentally make a mess but it just feels so nice to apply over a primer.

I caved in and bought this Japanese mascara, Heroine Make Long & Curl, one of those with an anime girl on the packaging. I got it in the brown shade, it looks very natural. There was absolutely no mascara that would hold a curl on my lashes, I'm not kidding. First time in my life my otherwise nice and long lashes aren't just obscuring my eyes. It's gotten me a lot of compliments.
There's one problem though - it's RIDICULOUSLY waterproof. They also sell a mascara remover to go with this, but I thought "how bad can it really be?". It's pretty bad. There's no way to get this off with any regular remover without tearing my lashes off. I just have to rub it a little, go to sleep, and wait for it to smudge itself away.

Hey I've got this stuff! It's really great but I use it sparingly precisely because of how waterproof it is. I always have to massage my eye area with the makeup remover oily balm thingy after I wear it and it takes some time to dissolve it completely

I might be of a similar complexion as you, which shades of these do you find most complementary?
for natural shades (NOT nude) I can't recommend the shade Cranberry Pie enough. Great Berry, not too saturated not too muted! This one is the one that I definitely recommend the most, I really love this shade.

As well as Gingersnaps (darkish mauvey brown) or Spiked Toffee (lighter brown, a bit warmer. Ive been mixing this in with NYX Budapest this past week...!) I like these two browns more than Cinnamon Roll, which is a great cool brown but a bit too light for my taste, I prefer more contrast. A lot of people always hype up Praline, a light pinky mauvey brown shade, but I dont like it at all, I find it too light and too muted to look natural/harmonious, personally.

The shade Big Spender has glitter but the color is super natural/harmonious red at least in a fair cool olive complexion. Very similar to MAC New York Apple.

I also like the shade Rocky Road even though it's quite dark and a bit too warm for me, but with glosses you can always sheer them out. Really Vampy.

I considered buying that instead of the OG True Match, but the Hyaluronic acid didnt draw me in since it's mainly a makeup product and it was almost double the prize! The dewy finish was beautiful, but I personally was looking for something more matte so I ended up going with the other one. If you've gone through bottles of it that speaks volumes, though! Hell yeah.

Hello girlies, I am not too good with cosmetics and makeup in general but I absolutely ADORE this particular product

this TIRTIR instead but it's just not the same, way too watery for my liking
I'll be visiting Japan soon and I want to buy some cool cosmetics stuff. Any recommendations are welcome! And if you know of anything that can replace this Wedding Dress face cream then please let me know as well!
