The trousers probably work at least a little, since they add resistance to movements. The bra probably could improve posture a little bit, but I think I'd rather just have good posture on my own rather than because I'm wearing uncomfortable workout wear. I suspect Taylor was wearing it more to help her not slouch after an exhausting day on stage, than as some sort of passive workout tool.

Have any of you ladies ever successfully “lightened” box black hair dye? I’ve been dyeing my hair black for quite a few years now and I desperately want a change. A couple of shades lighter would certainly suffice at this point.
I have heard good things about the crushed vitamin C tablets + Head & Shoulders method, which I’m leaning towards. I’m curious if any of you have any suggestions/success stories?
I think Color Oops would fuck my hair up completely so I’m trying to avoid that altogether. *sigh*

Ooooooofff. Box black like from the drugstore? That shit stays worse than henna.

If you try the vitamin C thing, try regular coconut oil treatments also. Coconut oil can strip color out of hair, even henna.

I know, I know! It's pretty bad.
Thank you kindly, I definitely didn't know about the coconut oil! I will try that!

That's kind of what I was thinking, too. If you rely on your clothing to hold you up or in a certain position, those muscles atrophy; they don't get stronger.

Any farmers here have curly hair you cut yourself? And have you ever dry cut it, curl by curl?

I need to trim my ends and I keep seeing suggestions that doing it curl by curl works best rather than trying to wet it and cut it the way you would straight hair. I am afraid that if I change what I am doing to try the curl by curl thing, then my hair won't curl the sameway after washing it and I will have weird stringy ends on my ringlets from the difference in length from the previous days' curl pattern decided to clump together lol. But I am never 100% happy with what I am doing now anyway, but usually at least 85% (which beats every hairdresser I have ever paid in my life- never going to a barber shop ever again. They just can't cut curly hair.)

Latefagging but that’s just how it goes sometimes…
Kiko's lip pencils and lipsticks are my favorite. They are not too expensive and are very good products.
I tried that shade and I like it a lot, but I look weird. I'm very pale and I looked like a zombie : (
Kiko is pretty good, honestly.
Im really really pale too. To avoid the zombie look (although the zombie look is cool sometimes IMO) I pair it with a lip that’s more intense in color.
i don’t know if you only tried it or actually bought it but if you bought it you can pair it with a darker lipliner for definition. That way you can use it and not buy something else. Zombie look makes me think it’s a contrast issue (since you are pale, your looks may need more contrast) rather than the undertone or anything. to be fair, it is a pretty muted shade.

the trend is called "clean girl makeup."
honestly while I totally understand the whole message behind clean girl makeup, I don’t like it at all. When I do makeup I want to have fun and let it look like make up. So many clean girl makeup looks actually use so so much product, so although it looks clean, it’s not any cleaner than a glam full face lol.

Also, I know whoever called it ”clean girl makeup” probably did so without much thought, but clean girl makeup poses the notion of a “dirty girl makeup” and I don’t like that the makeup that’s being viewed as dirty is noticeable makeup rather than actual, dirty bad makeup. But that last point is just a nitpick.

I only half agree that clean girl makeup will age well. The minimal make up, totally. The more specific things like strong blush, slicked bun hairstyle or soap brows (already out of style though lol), definitely not.

I think with the rise of popularity and nostalgia around Indie Sleaze and 90s, make up that is simple and minimal will keep it that way but with way wilder colorways and the use of striking eyeshadows or frosty or colorful lipsticks. I think that’s already happening (Naked palette, those new MAC lipsticks..) just needs it to go a bit more mainstream.

worst ones I've tried so far are the Nyx ones, they are pretty pigmented but they feel way too heavy on the lips, and they're drying on me for some reason
that’s wild, I found the NYX lipoils one of the most hydrating lip products I’ve tried! I still like their butter glosses better though, the pigment is way better.

The classic Revlon lipsticks are still a reliable choice
you said it. Black Cherry is THE shade.
the glass shine versions are a pretty good formula too, although the OG is still the best.

wet and wild
agree with this. their 2 dollar bullet matte lipsticks aren’t bad at all. Really good staying power, pretty comfortable. The shade Cherry Bomb is really good.

Are there any Kraut kiwis here willing to share what the best makeup and clothing brands are? Low, mid, high price point? The Douglas I went to has a MAC stand and the same stands Sephora has (Top Faced, Fenty, etc). I found that crazy. Also found cool drugstore brands in Müller but not that much variety, didn’t see Revlon or Wet n Wild.

also you ladies were talking bras earlier so I’ll add to it by saying I need to find a cute balconette bra. I find them to be the most flattering neckline.

Lancome Rosy Plump Gloss: nice formula, absolutely horrendous chinky-tier packaging. How did the tube break with just a couple twistings? I sadly had to throw it away, it was unsalvageable :(

Redpill me on "resistance wear". It sounds like bullshit and the bras just seem like high-compression bras and would have the same downsides.

It's backed by Tay sway so you already know it's complete bull. Makes me think of the copper bracelets that people would wear to help with arthritis. It's going to sell well then videos will come out saying that it's a nothing burger after everyone has made their money.

I like that kind of look too, but it depends on the occasions! Like for work or doing groceries I prefer a more natural look. When I go out with friends it's an okay look for me. Yes it's all about contrast.
I found one with a sort of bordeaux undertone (I can describe it) and I like it a lot!

Aw, that’s horrible *sigh* lançome is so expensive too! There’s nothing worse badly thoughtout packaging/design.

Bordeaux is an amazing color!! It’s all I’ve been wearing lately too. love your daria pfp by the way8)

It was on the "cheaper" side at least (around the price of a Clinique almost lipstick, and those come in a metallic tube and seem to last forever! I got some as a gift a while ago and I still haven't finished the first tube), but for that price you'd still expect something sturdier. I have some actual chinky-tier $5 lip oils lying around that withstand daily twisting and untwisting better

I'm curious what you all think of this strategy:

I love buying my lady jewelry (even cheaper costume earrings and stuff) and I've noticed that accessory packages on Shein and the like are becoming more common.

For instance: Link

I'm sure that everything in there is cheap Chinese crap, but $10 for earrings and a bunch of other stuff is a decent deal. Anyone ever purchase stuff like this?

That looks like halloween stuff, im 80 % sure that is a costume or something, since its giving roaring 20s.

If she is into that style, and dont mind it being chinky dinky stuff, then i see no harm in it.

I have bought earrings on Shein. They're the exact same quality as any other cheap earrings, I have never had an issue with them. I am also convinced that many of them come off the exact same production line as most other earrings that aren't 'fancy'.

modern makeup trends (especially contouring) feels so retarded sometimes. I highkey wish in my autistic little way that old makeup from like the 20's-50's was fashionable again
