Anybody have tips on covering up dark circles? I inherited my dad's Gomez Addams eyes and would like to not look like I'm hungover literally all the time. I've used foundation or concealer most of my life and it does okay but maybe there's some secret trick I've missed.
I suck at make up, but tretinoin do really work at dark circles. My circles were this dark purple hue before.
It takes a few months though.

I didn't know we had this thread, as I don't poke into the BP very much. Gonna ask a question that I know has been asked before... I've also got a fresh, big fat scar on my face now, so my curiosity is picking back up again.

I never wear makeup, and when I have for special events, I always feel lost :(. I have an assortment of stuff and no budget limit, so I can pick up anything I'm missing. Could someone share a good BASIC tutorial for light day-to-day stuff? Also, how do I handle freckles in the midst of all this? They always look weird coming through.

Edit: I'm really self-conscious about this. I don't want to shit up the thread with basic bitch conversation. PMing or profile comments are fine.

I've heard vitamin c and caffeine serums can help reducing them a little. At least, that's what they told my mom when she was searching a solution for the same thing.

You can get color correcting concealers, for undereye circles you would want to get an orange as that is opposite on the color wheel to blue or if your dark circles are more purple toned, try a yellow. (When opposing colors on the color wheel are placed next to one another they make one another stand out but on top of another they cancel each other out.) If you wear concealer under your eyes, you can also try setting it using a banana powder which is a translucent powder but with a very slight yellow tint to it, they also make a banana powder for light skin if you are very fair.

I have not ventured past retinol, how did you get tret?
Dunno about her but I got mine from a prescription mill/e-doctor. Pretty much just sign up, ask for tretinoin cream, pay the fee, wait two days or however long it takes, then print the prescription and go to a pharmacy. As long as it’s not an opiate or an amphetamine e-doctors aren’t shy about signing prescriptions.
In my case tret was less hard on the skin than retinol, but I don’t think it did much to my circles. The most effective thing, I think, has just been a chemical peel. Just embrace your inner raccoon, circles aren’t that bad.

Ah, well I would argue e-doctors don’t even care about amphetamines either, I got stimulants in 5 minutes. How much did the service cost?

Anything with Retinol in it is what you need. Prices vary, of course but you can get some solid shit at drugstores. I'd suggest using the cream then follow up with concealer.
That reminds me, put this under your eyes at nighttime. Even though I do it for my whole face, aka slugging. Might want to mix it with some cream in your hand before applying, for less greasyness. Even though it does not matter at night.
While the problem isn't about dryness. Slugging is popular because it traps in active ingredients AND reduces sensitivity.
You can of course do this with regular vaseline, but the healing ointment has hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, panthenol and the ceramide complex.

Guess I should have kept looking, mine wrote a very rude reply when I asked for adderall, I assumed they’d all make a fuss about it. Tretinoin prescription cost me like thirty euros, and got me ten tubes of 0.05% strength.

I used a site that specifically diagnosed adhd and gave adderall, so it’s probably that. That’s pretty worth it though

Someone please…What is the best setting spray?

I’m trying to do my own wedding makeup but I can find a spray that locks in my eyeshadow. I get that nasty crease after 5 hours or so.

Edit:
I am also looking for something made anywhere BUT China.
Skindinavia Bridal setting spray. Someone else recommended Mac Fix+, but that's actually a fixing spray rather than a setting spray. The difference is a fixing spray melts your makeup down a bit and resettles it when it's starting to separate or crease, a setting spray glues the makeup in place like a hairspray.

Tip: Use acne pads on your feet. I like the Stridex with aloe, but any will do.
For any specific reason or?

Also regarding tret / retinol discussion, I realize this is a stupid question in context, but I thought you weren't supposed to put that shit on delicate skin like your undereye area? Whenever I accidentally get retinol on my lips they get chapped as hell.

Also regarding tret / retinol discussion
Retinol is a retinoid like tretinoin, it's just that tretinoin is the pure form while retinol has to go through cycles to become tretinoin, which will render it basically inefficient for any improvement.

Not really, far from everyone is an walking encyclopedia. There are people that sun bathe while they use a strong acid peel.

For sure it gets extra sore in the beginning, but everyone has to go through the retinization process once. And slugging does makes it easier.

Is the popular new lip matte or glossy? I need to get my once a year Christmas makeup, soon.

can anyone recommend a foundation brand that caters / does really good white-skin foundations? I've mainly been using powder instead of creme, but i'd like to get into using creme.

i used this creme for a while, but the coverage isn't great. i use this powder currently.
