I...did not even notice that.

No...not that one....probably.

Edit : btw the Pooners entire quest is finding her lost cat. She literally spent all her favors and life savings and is working for Tezzeret to find a teleporting space cat
I... cannot decide which I hate more. That they took away Mirri's agency. Or that they named another cat mirri.

It's like... my friend is a big Thief nerd. I had to endure a rant from him the other day because he learned in more detail that game #4--

Ok so game 3 of the series ended with Garrett saving the day, and picking up a young girl apprentice in the exact same manner that he had been recruited at the start of game 1. (he went on about it being a lovely bookend to the story). Well game #4 starts out with a thief named Garrett, who has a young woman apprentice, and even a fence/acquaintance named Bosso - and it is NOT the original Garrett (who had all those things). Apparently game #4 is supposed to be centuries in the future and we just happen to have a reincarnation of the original protagonist who just happens to have the same name with a friend with the same name as the original guy.

Like now I fully understand his anger. Why would you go out of your way to make this more confusing???

Do you want the most likely and cynical answer?

"We saw Miiri was a cat person who was popular so we named this cat Miiri as a reference to her to prove to the haters that we know the old lore!"

Oh I 100% agree with you and that's what makes me hate it even more. (so much so I couldn't express it properly - thanks for assembling the words for me)

You are welcome.

Listening to episode 2.

No Jace yet just random people chasing an artifa..........OH FUCKING HELL...the Edge was settled by people who were fleeing from the Eldrazi.

We had Bolas arc, We had Phyrexia, we had Kellen, then the Jace Mystery.

Now we enter the Eldrazi arc.

I am tired bros.

Can't wait for the token nigger in the Jacetice League to fix it

But its not something we need to spend half an hour on when we havent seen what our main character is doing
I don’t know, I think them harping on a pooner trying to find their pussy is a good use of our (the reader) time. Seems like the most based thing WOTC has included in a story in a long while.

Final Fantasy is my favorite set since Ixalan 1 and probably one of my top sets because well..they actually put effort into making the cards feel like the characters.
So far mine too, it actually feels like an actual magic set. Though I am still interested in Edge of Eternities as I am a big geek for space ships mixed with fantasy shit.

*blink*

Mirri?

THIS Mirri?

If there teasing Mirri in a new set in the current time I question how as the catgirl has been dead for over 300 years.

I think the Universes-Within team is going mask-off because the executioner's axe is hanging over them.

These sets are doing abysmally, with the exception of Bloomburrow. It looks like total shit, and the most Magic-feeling set to release in years isn't even from the Magic IP. It's not like input costs have gone down any over the last few years, and if I was looking for the segment of my company to lay off - it'd be these people.

Like I said a while back, the UB team is knocking it out of the park. This is where all the talent at the company went. Great designs, interesting build-arounds that aren't obnoxiously overpowering, and fun limited formats. FF learned from the mistakes of LOTR big-time, and when you compare it to the shitstorm that was "two-decks-mcgee" of Tarkir, it's night and day.

I'll be completely skipping EoE. Wild that they STILL insist on pushing vehicles, a mechanic that has NEVER WORKED, because some retard on that team likes trains. Oh, goodie, legendary vehicles can be your commander now! I don't even give a shit about Avatar, but I know it's going to be a monumentally better set than EoE or any of their in-universe trash.

Personally I think the Universe's Within card design is crippled by the lack of any decent lore to riff off of. They went out of their way to make every plane generic and flavorless and then doubled down on it by using the Omenpaths to make the entire multiverse cosmopolitan and gay. You can't just "what do people like? Ravnica? Put Rakdos in a cowboy hat he's doing crimes in the wild wild west now" and expect good card design out of it.

I'm going to the EoE pre-release because I found out I like pre-releases, but I am not very interested in whatever they've spoiled so far. Well... that Sothera Supervoid super special card looks sick as fuck, but I'm never pulling it so we go back to step one of not really caring for anything other than I like the pre-release format.

Oh of course.

Imagine if we had 15 years of decent writing that they were forced to work off of instead of

"ITS CHAAAAAAAAAAAAANDRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ON MOTORCYCLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The fucker who made the Kavu story about a digital monster killing the Kavu one by one is better than the retarded CYOA

Have to agree with you on that. My FF enjoyment has big gaps in it but they've still punched that nostalgia button very well.

With that in mind anyone know decent options for buying the cardboard crack for the UK? So many options out there it's hard to know where to start.

And before anyone says "support your locals" they have their addicts hooked and little of what I want as a result.
