You know one of those mf'ers at the table has terferi's protection ready for your fireball. Best just to flash in Knuckles and laugh.
That is why you torrent of hailfire for all but 2 mana and keep up that 2 blue

Whichever of you fuckers said the blue crystal in limited is a busted thing?
You’re god damn right, I just got to mill someone for exactsies over 3 turns. I almost got a lab man win that I shouldn’t have punted but did. This limited format is a masters set tier drafting experience and the most fun I’ve had at FNM in years. I wasn’t going to buy any FF, but I might have to snag a sealed box or two…

Blue Crystal is playable in like a UB shell as a wincon in a box. While generally the crystals' discounts are almost totally irrelevant, a good UB deck is going to have a lot of Dreams of Laguna that can get the benefit twice pretty easily. Black Crystal is also playable, because the life-gain on its exile clause is actually pretty nuts. They're almost all worth considering picking in paper, because they're worth a couple bucks. Though if I was playing Arena, I'd still probably take Relm's Sketching over the crystal if I was already in U.

Drafting this set in paper is a little weird, because you're going to see expensive-ass Amano-art cards that don't at all work with what you're doing... but goddamn, they're worth a pretty penny. Other than red, the colors all feel pretty deep - the guy right next to me was drafting in the same archetype, and we both figured the other was in a different color pair.

Any half decent Mill card is busted in limited.

You have Crackle with power..

(listen my mono Red deck is the memest meme I could make I dunno anything about real mono red)
It's more of a joke about how red has a number of combos but the worst card advantage/selection/tutors by a significant margin so you have a pretty significant chance of having 20 treasure tokens and nothing to do with them.

Hell, Dockside was a fair and balanced card in Mono-Red specifically (except in Magda I guess).

I would say that was true years ago, but Red has enough impulse draw that you should be able to churn through your deck okay enough these days (though Admittedly Mono Red is the Only deck I have the One Ring in)

And that is just 30 Treasures, if you have 30 Tokeny artifacts I presume you have Clues or junk to find Something to win with.

Impulse only really belongs in a few decks (spellslinger/prowess, storm) and even the best stuff is just well above the rate that would make the cut for selection/"advantage" in any other color. Also red basically doesn't get clue tokens because them having any sort of card advantage is haram, 3 red cards that investigate and they all make only 1 without jumping through combo hoops.

I would still use it over...the generic artifact card draw you get (aside from one Ring) and the Opera Scene Card from Final Fantasy is honestly really good cause it is instant speed.

Also the every turn impulse stuff isn't terrible, I have the mono Red Urabrask in my Mono Red Deck and it lives in a funny place of "Am I really going to spend removal on this thing..that doesn't really actively fuck me over but causes me to have to play awkwardly"

impulse draw is inheretly risky, and in a 4 player game, u have to play around 3 opponents who will try to shut you down
Sure, but well Red being Red the best way to play is to do your thing and make your opponents have it (which is honestly something people just don't do enough)

I heavily play mill in commander and Blue crystal hasnt been as good as i thought it would be. The cost reduction is nice and all but not really important. The small increment in mill benefits more stuff like the crabs, as in multiple instance vs explosive mill. If youre milling 1 card at a time, blue crystal is great, if youre like me milling people for lets say 20, then adding four more doesnt really affect much, imo.

Edge of Eternies leak happened. We're getting a new token.

Of fucking course they had to name it a “lander” token. Happy to see this mechanic will never come back after this set.

Also, an eldrazi is confirmed:

As noted by others though, this may be the only one in the set; it has collector ID 1 and Tezzeret has ID 2, so either the other eldrazi will all be colored with devoid or this is the only one alá the phyrexians before MOM
