TFW that would be an improvement because Show and Tell already ruined the format.
They don't care about any of their formats at WotC but I am legitimately surprised that Show and Tell isn't restricted yet, it's always going to be a problem in a non-force of will/pyroblast/red elemental blast format.

That's completely untrue. They love Commander, much to my chagrin.
They sell a couple hundred staples to commander every year, they refuse curate it in any way. Yeah yeah, Rule Zero but they should split normal commander off entirely from cEDH and try to make a more balanced rule set that doesn't just devolve into a game of 4 man money ball with your friends.

Oh I don't play Commander at all. I hate it because it's fucking up every other format by virtue of how many cards are explicitly designed for it.

They do not love Commander nearly as much as people say they do, I think the Dozen Legendary Uncommons are less a Commander thing and more a way of making very clear Signpost Uncommons for Limited that you can't stack the effects of.

Like in OTJ you have that Selesnya Mount Legendary Uncommon that hands out +1/+1 counters when a Mount attacks, if she weren't Legendary and had 2 out at the same time that shit would get out of hand.

I don't have a problem with the signpost uncommons being legendary, I have a problem with the rare cards that are Commander inserts badly disguised as "build arounds" like Volo.

Volo is probably better in Limited than he is in Commander tho.

Volo is neither red nor black so he was mid in that limited set. He's "fun" in commander in that he's wildly attractive to a certain sort of autist that will gladly kill a million trees in notes trying to chart out the best "elf" that isn't sharing a type with another creature in the deck so he can have 2 elves instead of 1 elf.

Tranny Janny Judging the Pro tour..

Player pronouns are also shown too:

My absolute desire is one day someone has enough and uses a no no word as their pronoun.

I wonder if anyone has declared their pronouns to be something like I/Concede or You/Win, just to get easy wins because your opponent has to either misgender you (which I think is now against the official rules, in addition to some countries enforcing that as a law), or say the correct pronouns.

One of my favorite opponents had a habit of saying "you can concede at any time". He would never say it when the opponent was about to lose or was in immediate danger of losing.

When I was just starting out playing, I thought concession used the stack and could be responded to with a concession of your own.

Apparently that's not how that works, and a concession immediately ends the game. I was lied to. To this day, I bet that asshole tells people they can concede at any time. Filling their hearts with the false hope of being able to give their opponents a win if they were really cool, but no. Cocksucker.

HI IM EBT AND MY PRONOUNS ARE NIGGER AND FAGGOT, NICE TO MEET YA FRIEND!

Necropotence costs less than $12. Why does this Necrodominance even exist? Necropotence is not effective in Modern because sacrificing turn 3 or hoping for a dark ritual isn't worth it and Necropotence is strictly better.
Necropotence isn't effective in Modern because you aren't allowed to play it in Modern. Or in Legacy, for that matter.

I mean, where else would they go? AFR wasn't that bad about it - older sets have lots of dubiously-playable rares and mythics that are shit even in limited. An Eternity Vessel for your troubles? Touch of the Eternal, perhaps? Even in DMU, Vodalian Hexcatcher was a worthless rare in-set, and was aimed at eternal formats.

I think the problem for most people is that design creep is synonymous with 'commander card,' and when they shove 18 paragraphs onto a card that is a 4/4 lifelink for 4, yeah, that's kindof retarded design. DMU had one of these, too, speaking of.

And to me, that's maybe the distinction. Eternity Vessel and Touch of the Eternal are goofy cards that do weird, unique things that you can kindof tell at a glance aren't good, but maybe there's a dream. Volo isn't really that great in limited (especially since U in AFR was genuinely unplayable), but there's at least the dream there that you could maybe get a copy of 1 or 2 things. Astor and Eriette are a vanilla and french vanilla creature in the rare slot.
Wrong, it's the replacement for Typal, which was the replacement for Tribal, because you can never appease this dumb shit.
Kindred is a lot better than typal, in that it actually is a word and describes a cycle. But you can tell it was a bunch of sheep following the thought-leader, who began to realize that 'typal' was, indeed, retarded cosmopolitan neologism to 'fix' a problem that doesn't exist. The move towards Kindred is one born of insecurity about having made such a big deal of literally nothing.

I've still only ever used the word 'tribal' and never had anyone say anything about it... other than to mock the sanctimonious pearl-clutching. I also still jam Crusade with the Mark Poole art, and have not since that fateful day had anything but conversations on "how is this offensive, exactly?"
