Not just Covid, but the reprint mania and power creep can only last so long before it begins to have massive diminishing returns. Same with the amount of product being pushed out, but Universes Beyond might have far more breathing room if they can keep getting good IPs.
The whole tribal thing is retarded, it shows how people will become hostile about anything they're programmed to feel hostile about even if that programming is lazy and stupid.

In all seriousness, if I didn’t already think that the set was going to break modern’s back, it sure is looking to forcibly make some less than stellar strategies more viable, only for everyone to realize that the things that have been the best are still the best and to keep evoke scamming or playing the monkey.

Necropotence costs less than $12. Why does this Necrodominance even exist? Necropotence is not effective in Modern because sacrificing turn 3 or hoping for a dark ritual isn't worth it and Necropotence is strictly better.

I think if you made both Necros playable and had ritual in the format as well as things like Chrome Mox and/or Mox Diamond it would be interesting, but the problem is cards are so fast and so aggressive now that the life loss isn't irrelevant anymore. At least with Bargain or Ad Nauseum you get the cards right away and can just go off, but having to blind gamble into a playable hand of five is weird as you could just Doomsday.

You only draw a card if you cast it, so it’s less good, but I do think it’s still gonna be an interesting card.
I’m honestly actually most excited to see how flare of denial affects the modern landscape. If I’m remembering my rules correctly, you can snapcaster to give it flashback and sac snapcaster to free cast it? Mono blue control sounds a bit more interesting than it has in a while.

even if you don't Draw 2 off the second ETB, if you are scamming it..its a 4/4 (5/5 depending on the scam) that has Annihilator that effectively innately replaces itself and the scam piece if you are scamming it is really good.
Mulldrifter doesn't see play in Scam because even if you scam it out it's just a 2/2 in the air.

Yeah and they just gave Scam Satoru to draw cards off all their bullshit for some reason. MH3 has Solitude so presumably it also has Grief so basically that entire deck will be in Timeless at least.
