The YT stuff is, as far as I know, chat-free. I don't really watch his streams, although I do enjoy him insulting viewers. That's probably because I don't like streaming, though.

I don't understand idol worship of the guy, but he tends to draft goofy shit in cube and explains his thought-process (even if it then immediately violates it), which is good enough for me. I find him easier to have as background noise than Reid, who is a more personable person but a far less engaging entertainer because of how often he'll silently tank and observe a game state.

Double Post for Great Justice

Day 2 has started and I saw in the standings that Tranny Burchett washed out after forcing that shitty Tempo Soldier Tribal Deck because the only thing He is known for is Topping a Pro Tour with a shitty Tempo Mono Blue deck.

I thought you Kiwis would take enjoyment out of a Troon getting BTFO and taking 3 Losses in the Axe Wound after being handed a 3-0 Draft deck because nobody wanted to be Transphobic.
 
I couldn’t remember what Burchett looked like, and now I remember having to scrub them from my mind the last time I saw them advertised for competitive magic. Losing with an playable deck couldn’t have happened to a more deplorable person.

I’m also horrified to see spoilers are already going again. I’m somewhat happy to see crypt, but cavern is gonna make for an interesting standard run when it gets played in every deck to force in an uncounterabe sheoldred. Also the new basics look like actual trash to me, I’d honestly have preferred something like the map versions we had from LOTR instead.

Mono black can probably fit it in, but it's a hard sell for every non-mono color deck to shove it in for upside on resolving one threat when you have decks like Esper Midrange that is already straining their mana base to get Raffine out turn 3 and decks like golgari/dimir midrange who want to be able to double spell on turn 3 and their mana base already isn't good enough to do that reliably. I see it having a good home in tribal decks, white/naya humans will run it for sure. Esper fairies I doubt will use 4 because it doesn't tap for colored on any of their tempo spells, and since it's ixilan Vampires might be relevant again (and Rakdos vampires already have a few players in high mythic). Zombies sort of exists but is also a tempo deck like faries. I think the biggest question is whether this is enough to bring 5 color Jodah humans back. That deck already plays nothing but legendary human creatures and will have 12 untapped pain free rainbow mana sources to cast them with which is nuts. Still has the same problem it always did though (sunfall, farewell).

Now I actually want to try this in Canadian highlander with natural order… it’s probably shit, but I think a sultai deck with ur both scavengers, soul flayer, and a bunch of keyword cards could be a fun time 🤔

Saffron Olive did a Pioneer 8 Flayer deck (there is a not quite Flayer printed in a recent set) recently and it did really well, a deck like that having a Giant Dino as Discard fodder that will also Draw you cards based on how It Flays can probably steal a few wins.

I..kind of doubt it.

Like it is stronger than straight up expedition map (which only costs one and you for sure get one) but outside of specifically Tron I am not sure what would actually play this.

Kind of like "who would bother playing the One Ring"? ;)

Pay 2, get ANY land I want out of my deck? Maybe not important in standard right now, but I can think of a lot of commander decks that would go nuts with a land choice every turn. (Maze's End fun is just the start.)

*shrug* One Ring's activation is basically free, and yeah Pay 2 to get a non basic is okay but it's not like you can get more than 2 of those tokens in non Edh formats.

Okay reading the other half, Map Tokens have to be some sort of tutor to the top of the deck or scry effect, most of the WoE multi color adventures synergize between halves I think.
