I just don't know what I can play in U that's not shit. I guess that's an issue with the format. With so many options, it's hard to focus on any one thing.
Damia, sage of stone is a solid broad commander that you should have fun building with. You can get ramp, counterspells, and removal, all while splashing some big creatures you can jam into play. She was one of the first multicolored commanders I built, and I really regret tearing her apart for something else.

I recently began going to an LGS, and it's been very hit or miss. I have a handful of decks, but I still feel like I lack variety and don't know what I'm interested in playing. Do a lot of people in this thread play EDH, or is it really just for troons?

I'm thinking of building Mayael or Satoru Umezawa to cheat in big creatures, but it feels kinda gay. I'm not sure what to focus on or build right now, but I want access to removal and counterspells. cEDH is for Troons, casual EDH is for the boys.

I probably wouldn't recommend anything above 2-3 colors unless you have a $$ manabase as it can be rough and slow you down, especially if people are competent. I would find a commander you like, head to EDHRec and check out decklists of what people have made for inspiration then start building something on moxfield. Proxy it, test it out and the build on it from experience. You'll know after a game or two what you need to add/remove to it.

If you want to break shit, hop onto the Commander Spellbook and look up your cards to find the infinites. A good game of EDH is determined more by the pod than the cards though, I couldn't stand the people at my LGS so I just play with friends these days.

Mass invasion of Phyrexia has begun and some of the new converts are coming out.

LCS owner says New Phyrexia is selling like crazy, and reverse the trend of the last few sets. I don't know if that's a flavor win or a mechanics win, but people seem to be enjoying the set.

How are sinngles born?
You seem to be stupid, but if a store sells a single for $100 or more Hasbro will never see a dime out of that. I know, it's a hard concept to understand. It's why so many reprints get made. It's to lower prices to screw over collectors. Even the Bank of America could figure that shit out and they think money grows on trees.

Me and my wife just like trolling people in EDH.

Nice to get a goblin in this colour combination that's decent. Odd how the Legendaries are combos though. Wife's going to love the new Chandra.

Also, perfect for my Karlov deck

Something that needs to be noted about this card.

It count's the actual mana symbols, they do not need to be multi colored cards they just have to have 3 Symbols, my normie magic community completely shat on the card without realizing that fact, It may take a while to fully optimize a commander deck with this but I think if somebody puts in the time there is a secretly absurd deck waiting for this card.

Edit : Also You Dumb Niggers are forgetting the best card of the lot.

Thalia-and-The-Gitrog-Monster-MOM-672.jpg

Thalia riding the Gitrog Monster and basically getting all of their fucking abilities.

In order to get that $100, the store had to buy three booster boxes at $90 each. WotC got their money on the front end, dumbass.

Was it the new Phyrexia box or the all will be one?

He calls bigger faggots, Good Heilod could fucking do anything.
I Mean effect wise the card is okay, but it doesn't match anything Heliod has done before, isn't indestructible nor has the Devotion mechanic makes it a really shitty representation of a Phyrexianized Heliod, It's the second worst designed one of the Lot...only Yargle+Multani is worse simply because it has nothing from the Multani side of the pairing.

I believe that they're not doing Devotion but it's a different Heilod. It's a Heilod that served jailtime and became a white collar criminal. Also I agree, Yargle is fucking retarded and Multani could fucking do more.

IIRC they have stated they will be doing keywords for non "core block mechanic abilities" when appropriate from now on, honestly if they are going to be doing a big plane invasion block there is no reason to not be doing iconic mechanics from that plane.

Linvala and Drana should have the Ally typing as well tbh.

While I don't think it's a good design in a lore sense, Heliod is probably the second or third most playable of those in standard/pioneer behind Thalia+Gitrog and maybe Omnath. Yargle+1 is terrible and should be a uncommon and Drana and Livala is a 4 mana flying vigilance 3/4 most of the time. I assume Jin Gitaxis 3.0 is bad but that saga half is crazy so maybe someone figures out how to build a deck to be able to flip him.

Oh damnit all Wizards are literally just gluing cards together and of course it will work because there are very attractive combos there.

Arseholes.

I also very much like that Omnath gimmick. Looks like a credible 5 colour Commander.

Still won't give them money but I got into the story around Nemesis so it does poke the nostalgia to see Phyrexia keeping things going. I hope a subsequent block is Yawgmaroth and Urza respawning where the gimmick is they bring back old school rules. Like manaburn.

I really liked the Scars block aesthetic. It was so grim, and the art has this immediately-recognizable style to it. It was really cool.

This stuff looks like fucking shit. I mean, I know the art direction has been slipping for a while, but really? All Will Be One had only a handful of card arts that didn't look like cartoon shit and flanderized phyrexian shit everywhere, yet the MoM spoilers have to take the cake for some of the most downright ugly things I've ever seen in this card border.

I was expecting more phyrexian mana creatures like vault skirge, especially cuz of the compleated shit.
But of course it's only planeswalkers.
God fucking dammit. I wish corpse venser was one, I'd use it even if my deck doesn't proliferate spam until lategame, and even then it's more for spamming planeswalker ults.
