This is a specific issue that doesn't indicate that we're stuck in a cycle. In fact, a lot of that cultural appropriation discourse isn't coming from black people sperging about "muh AAVE", it's from diasporoids (usually Asian Americans) endlessly moaning about non-issues on twitter because they have to act like they're victims of racism. This is where food nationalism came from because these people literally don't have any actual problems so they have to make up ones. They quite literally declared war on cultural fusion restaurants and tried to determine who can and can't make certain foods because in order to be against racism you have to be for segregation

If you look beyond retarded online discourse you'll quickly realize that 2016 and 2026 are still different culturally. I won't deny the fact that nothing new is under the sun but 2026 has a lot more in common with 2014 than 2016.
