Did he at least find the ladder?

He's just finished day two. I think he can get to it on day three, so it could happen as soon as next episode.
Well, almost everything I wanted out of the Josh playthrough has happened. The only other thing I wanted to see was the reaction to the killer, since he already knows Ruby doesn't make sense.

The whole anime thing is a symptom of larger problems with the internet and society. Sperry kids in previous eras that would have gotten into STEM and instead fixated on creating interesting new technology and progressing scientific fields are now getting sucked into Discord and anime or other interests like that and are obsessing over media and stagnating instead. The competency crisis is real and society is going to continue to slide into an absolute nightmare and the thought is terrifying.
The Atomisation and Sexualisation of our society has had massive effects on the youth.
  • You are atomised (alone, no stable community).
  • So you turn to the internet for connection.
  • The internet immediately sexualises you (grow an EPA and subsequently troon out)

Yaniv is acting up again, trying to get money out of Americans for shittalking him.

Man of Medan is another decent option. I'm pretty sure it was made by the same company that made the sargoyle game. Pretty sure they made another one semi-recently involving werewolves and a summer camp I just can't think of the name. It has Lance Henrikson in it for some reason.

There's a youtube channel I watch called C&C Equipment. It's some good ol' boys from Indiana who run a repair shop where they fix up heavy machinery. Today they dropped a video in which they need to save a semi truck that took itself a little off roaderooski. They even warned him not to go that way. The reason that this is relevant is because * dun dun DUNNNNN* the driver doesn't speak English. Skip to 8:50 to see them get exasperated with the driver.
How bad is it really out there that a family of wrenchers out in the middle of nowhere Hoosier territory has to deal with people who drive 18 wheelers and cannot communicate with you?

Just to try and throw a few more Life is Strange-esque style games in the ring to palate cleanse from Disco Elysium

You played House of Ashes ages ago (the one about the Iraqi veterans stumbling around in an underground temple), and if you enjoyed that there are a ton of others in the same anthology or also from the same dev (Supermassive) so you already know what to expect re: horror narrative game with QTEs:

The Casting of Frank Stone (2024) ~6 hours

- Set in the Dead By Daylight universe, so maybe of all of them that's most interesting to you.
- Plot: set during the summer of 1980 in the town of Cedar Hills, Oregon, and involves four young aspiring filmmakers who want to make a horror movie in a condemned steel mill.

The Devil in Me (2022)

- Plot: follows five members of a documentary film crew who are invited to a replica of H. H. Holmes' hotel (famous American serial killer).

Little Hope (2020)

- sequel to man of Medan.
- four college students chaperoned by their professor find themselves trapped within Little Hope, a deserted town.

Man of Medan (2019)

- four college students and the captain of the boat, Duke of Milan, who embark on a diving trip in pursuit of the remains of a WWII-era plane.

Until Dawn (remake made in 2024)

- eight young adults who have to survive on Blackwood Mountain until they can be rescued.

The Quarry (2022)

- spiritual successor to Until Dawn (2015).
- nine teenage counselors who must survive their last night at Hackett's Quarry summer camp amongst supernatural creatures and violent locals.
- Probably their best game.

Detroit: Become Human (~10-12 hours)

I know you mentioned not wanting to do the strip club level, but it's just one chapter (and one of the shorter ones to boot) and the game as a whole is worth it to power through that one level if you can. It's chapter 19 or 20 anyways (about halfway through the game), so if you start it and hate it, you likely wont even make it to it anyways.

It's also not that bad honestly, they mostly look like they are wearing swim suits, and the investigation of the level isn't about how sexy it is but solving a crime that took place.

As Dusk Falls (~8 hours)

Has a very jarring visual style that is like rotoscoping/minimal animation. It's pretty awkward but if you can get over it, it's like the Supermasive games but not a horror, more of a thriller. QTEs and narrative choices.

"Interactive drama from INTERIOR/NIGHT that explores the entangled lives of two families across thirty years. Starting in 1998 with a robbery-gone-wrong in small town Arizona, the choices you make have a powerful impact on the characters' lives in this uncompromising story of betrayal, sacrifice and resilience."

Here we have a ginger explaining why "people view cringe people way more than bad people" by comparing someone called hobo johnson (who ive never heard of) to woman beater chris brown (who I've heard of but never listed to)

And I screencapped some comments

Society has always been heavily sexualized - especially in heavily urbanized areas. The difference was that over 100 years ago, prostitution was legal. So if someone was a degenerate, they'd just pay a lady of the night. If someone was a pedophile, well, children were pimped out back then(Hell, the Underground Railroad probably had more in common with Little St. James Island than the story they teach in school). While illegal immigrants are still trafficked, its usually the upper-middle class who are banging them since they don't want to risk losing their assets and social standing to a bitter whore. If a 12 year old Mexican girl gets pregnant from your local city councilor and wants him to help raise their child, he can just have her pimp strangle her and dissolve her and her child in lye out on the farm-brothel.

And don't lament the abolition of legal prostitution. It led to innocent victims being trafficked.

The main issue today is that people are more isolated like you mention. However, that isolation won't remain for too long since the problems of an open and free Internet have made it necessary that changes be made. We need some form of Internet ID because the current Internet just turns kids into suicidal trannies and/or terrorists.

Josh crashes out over the video game Pragmata from todays stream
JoshPragmataCrashout_full.mp4
Some of nulls arguments, such as Diana never growing up, that to make Diana convincing you'd have to program her to act childlike and demand needs a child would have like food and warmth, that child-dolls would be made to fill voids in peoples lives and not to offer an accurate parenting experience were covered in this other videogame...
I'm just being a smartass

One thing about Telltales Walking Dead and Clementine: I've seen parents who play that game remark that Clementine has little "tells" that they've seen in their own kids, like when you question her about the salt-lick.

People that say this would like to play HOI4 while passively watching him play HOI4, meanwhile anyone who's an active chatter will be bored to tears.
HOI4 is not really the proper game for a stream unless you're playing in some sort of competitive match or doing some meme path in a mod. Same deal for CK, EU, Vicky and Stellaris (lmao who gives a shit about Imperator).

With that out of the way, I would suggest Josh plays Max Payne 3, it is pretty kino, it takes between 8 to 10 hours to complete, you get to shoot a bunch of macaques (Brazilians) and your mission is to rescue the Whitest woman in Brazil because she got kidnapped by gang of macaques to extort her family for millions of dollars and you're her nihilistic alcoholic bodyguard, who's also sometimes inexplicably feminist.

if you are looking for a new game and can deal with looking past the animu aesthetic, Class of '09 might give you a giggle
