Is this a deep South thing? I ate plenty of black eyed peas, but I cannot recall anyone in my family specifically eating them for New Year's and we are all Southern with a few that are real country.

Yes, in both White and Black homes there's quite a few people who'd look at you like a monster for hosting a traditional New Years meal and not having it as a side dish.

Interesting. Its entirely possible that I just never noticed. I've had black eyes peas all my life, so eating them on New Year's would not stick out to me at all. Its more likely that it is a regional Southern thing imo.

There are obvious commonalities, but I am again reminded that not all Southern states are the same nor share the same traditions.

I was told that the black eyed peas are for the coins you're hoping to get this year, the greens the paper money. We did not take it very seriously, but it was, and still is, traditional.

I have a hard time laughing at Tim Pool, personal motives aside, because he’s totally right about Candace. Calling him envious is a little weak if you’re opportunistically criticizing him too, which in his own feud with her is what makes him look obviously envious.

I agree it's jarring. Just sounds like the audio keeps dipping out. What's weird is other swears and slurs use a soft warble effect that works fine.

For a keyboard get an AULA F99 or an AULA F108 Pro depending how full-size you need it. South facing RGB LED's which is better for cherry profile caps.
For switches, the Akko Starlight switch or Akko V5 Creamy Yellow Pro are great pre-lubed light linears which tend to be the most popular choices these days.
For keycaps, I heard you want Ceramic. Don't do that they are heavy and will fuck up a lot of switches. Just find a nice double-shot PBT set in cherry profile I guess maybe a GMK color cloneset
If you do for some reason get a ceramic keycap set you will need a heavy switch, maybe Akko x Mongeek greenfogs
