A couple years ago I fed the MATI Transcription Archive into an LLM and asked it some questions. It said Null's favorite cheese was cheddar. I think the technology is 100% ready for public use.

what did grok know that we all missed

i need ai to read all the bullshit people send me and develop my opinions for me
What you need to do is hire an Indian to read it out for you. Surely you can hire a Jeet somewhere for an hourly rate and see how long it takes him to fresk out and tantrum reading the super chats you get sent.

Also something you might want to know about your two favorite subjects, Google and advertisements.

Theres a video by a Canadian motorcycle channel called fortnine which did a video on how google scams it's advertisement customers by using it's data network to be able to tell when a customer was going to buy your product anyways and then advertise it to you at the last second so that google could claim responsibility for a sale and make money.

Google is literally taking all your data and selling it and then using that same data to trick the companies paying them to advertise by lying to them that they're responsible for all those sales their getting and they pull in half a trillion dollars from this.

Stavros at 291 lbs, he's almost a Josh and a half. It's funny how the "series" is called "Stavvy Gets Ripped" but he literally just walks around for a couple of minutes and immediately after that he's eating something. The guy is so rich he could pay someone to slap the food out of his mouth, so i guess the only issue is that he will die of a heart attack in his 40's.

YouTube continues to be a dominant force in advertising and entertainment, but the disruption from generative artificial intelligence spares no company.

In a memo to staff Wednesday, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan cited the disruption and opportunity of AI as a reason to restructure the video platform, with the executive creating a new reporting structure for the company’s product teams, and rolling out a voluntary employee buyout program, offering severance to any YouTubers that may want to leave the company.

A source notes that no roles are being eliminated as part of the changes, though voluntary separation programs can sometimes serve as a prelude to cuts later on. The decision to offer buyouts comes the same week that Amazon announced plans to reduce its workforce by 14,000 jobs, citing AI disruption.
Going forward YouTube will have three product organizations, with the top executive from each reporting directly to Mohan.

Subscription products will be led by Christian Oestlien and include oversight of YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, Primetime Channels and other business lines; Viewer products, led by Johanna Voolich, which will focus on the YouTube mobile and living room apps, trust & safety, YouTube Kids, search infrastructure and other key areas; and creator and community products, which will be focused on supporting creators, including through YouTube Shorts and its generative AI tools. YouTube is expected to bring in a new leader for that organization.

In his memo, Mohan cited AI as the “next frontier” for YouTube. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter for this month’s cover story about YouTube, Mohan explained why he thinks AI will ultimately work in service of human creators.

“I do think creation is an area where AI will help enormously by making the process easier, by making it more efficient faster, and also by making it more powerful. In that sense, my sort of vision around AI is it’s AI in service of human creativity, it really empowers human creativity,” Mohan said. “If you’re working in the scripted space and you need a particular background or you have a particular sequence, well AI can help you in multiple ways. It can help you ideate about what that script should be. It can help you create the background. It can help you — as you saw last week — actually add content to the video that you’ve created right the camera.

The YouTube chief added, “I think we are in the very early days of those types of possibilities, and my hope is that it will create a lot more opportunity for that entire supply chain of creation, not just the creators at the top.”

letter for NEAL
Hi YouTubers,
Over the last 20 years, YouTube has grown from a scrappy video-sharing site into one of the world's largest streaming platforms. Our success has been built on big, bold bets that have paid off year after year, from launching the YouTube Partner Program to investing in the Living Room. Today, those investments have created a thriving business: we've paid over $100B to our ecosystem, secured our position as the #1 streamer in the US for over two years, and built a subscriptions engine with over 125 million M+P and 8M YouTube TV subscribers.
Looking to the future, the next frontier for YouTube is AI, which has the potential to transform every part of the platform. We need to set ourselves up to make the most of this opportunity. That means ensuring every fast-growing area gets the focus and investment it needs to succeed, building deeper expertise behind our core businesses, and driving faster decision making and execution. To do that, we are creating three separate Product organizations that will report directly to me:
Viewer Products: This team will focus on the viewer experience, including improvements to Search & Discovery, accelerating growth in the Living Room, increasing engagement with our strategic audiences, investing in our world-class infrastructure, and continuing to build on our foundation of responsibility. This team will be led by Johanna. It will bring together CoreX, Living Room, Infrastructure, and Trust & Safety and will be split across three pillars led by Emily, Jennie, and Woojin.
Creator & Community Products: This team will focus on driving creation through GenAI tools, Shorts, Live, and supporting creators of all sizes. It will also focus on building community across the platform. It will bring together Creator, led by Amjad, and EMCO, led by Toni. We will open a search to find a leader of this team, and Johanna will lead in the interim.
Subscription Products: This team will focus on driving our subscriptions growth across Music & Premium and OTT to take advantage of the tremendous opportunity in this space. This team will be led by Christian and will bring together Music, led by T.Jay; Premium, Commerce, and Nitrate, led by Will; and OTT, for which we will hire a new leader.
I am also pleased to announce that JT will take on an expanded role, as the head of UX. In addition, the UX org will move under Scott. Engineering and UX are both teams which work horizontally across the organization, and we believe that by bringing these teams together, they can both benefit from scaled processes and best practices. Shopping, led by Travis, will continue to report to Scott.
These changes will take effect on November 5. There are no role eliminations as part of this reorganization. You can view the updated org chart here. Aparna, Mary Ellen, Matt and Shachar will continue leading their teams, reporting directly to me.
It's an incredibly exciting time at YouTube and many opportunities and challenges lie ahead. But we also understand some of you may be ready for a new challenge, so we've decided now is the right time to offer a Voluntary Exit Program. Starting today, eligible US YouTubers in my direct-reporting org have the ability to voluntarily leave with a severance package. US YouTubers will receive more details in a separate note.
I have never been more excited about the future of YouTube. We have grown in size, scope and complexity over the years, but our core leadership structure has not evolved in a decade. I believe that these changes will set us up well to continue our success.
- Neal
