The AI says you need 6-8 cubic feet of freezer space for a half cow and is around 250lbs net weight.
A 10 cubic foot chest freezer is $300 from WalMart.

Admittedly a quarter cow is likely better for most people.

But in other important news, I saw this at the grocery store today, but failed to get a picture.
I thought to myself, you know who likes cheese, and October.

Up yours nigger. The average person is dumb and eats fast food or DoorDash 1-2 times a day. People with even minimal agency spend a couple hundred on a deep freeze so they can store that much meat. The barrier to entry for buying meat in bulk is practically nothing.

@waffle I had to edit my post because what you’ve written is so silly that it cannot be ignored. I know you aren’t joking, which makes it even worse.

The primary factor which serves as a barrier to entry for people who wish to buy meat in bulk is a knowledge gap and not a high cost. Most people have become so disconnected from the food they eat that they forget you can just buy an animal from a farmer. Like another user said, you can buy a 10ft^3 chest freezer for a few hundred dollars. These run off of a 120v outlet so you can put them in your basement or kitchen or garage or wherever. Right now I think you can buy a half a hog and get it processed for 500-600 USD total. That means you can, from nothing, buy 3-6 months worth of meat and a means to store it for approximately 1000 dollars. If you are someone who is unable to come up with 1000 dollars as an adult that is on you.

As for the claim that I am somehow trying to gatekeep buying meat and I want it to be more expensive is ridiculous in how silly it is. If you budget long-term, buying meat in bulk is, like most things, cheaper than paying grocery store prices. Furthermore, you don’t have to be some kind of extremist to buy an animal and have it processed. I’m thinking your fixation on being a “right-wing extremist” and your inability to save 1000 dollars may be related.

If you or anyone else wants to know more about this, I worked in the meat industry on and off for multiple years and I know all about how to do this. If there’s a thread related to this lmk and I’ll share what I know if it hasn’t been shared already.

Gotta agree with this guy.
A lot of people these days "go in" on a cow as a group. That way you dont even need to find storage on a half cow. A quarter will fit in a shitty chest freezer.
 
At first Josh's rants about any little thing that happened throughout his week were annoying.

Then they became hilarious when I realized that he gets a mental breakdown every time he sees a minority at WallMart or the string of words "hecho en China".

Maybe you are overdoing it a bit? Many of your rants are endearing on MATI, because we can hear the humour and humanity in your voice. It just comes off differently on twitter.
