Most of the meanest parts were off-the-cuff retaliations to shit Sam pulled. He put a spotlight on Damiel because Sam put him behind Harland as an intimidation tactic. "Were you raped? You look like you were raped" because Sam kept bringing up rape. The editing tricks were pulled after Sam trashed his studio. The gorilla nest was silly and meant to throw him off, but not necessarily humiliate him. Really the meanest thing prepared ahead of time was the cunnilingus gag, and it was already pointed out on stream that he should have had some kind of funny response ready for that.

An idea's value is assigned by the culture that propagates it, and the collective people that find it useful. That's why Japan is fond of molesting children and Sharia is fond of beating women and America is fond of owning guns.

Ergo: Many pedos assign value to the emoji posts, they propagate the idea, it somehow penetrates the wider zeitgeist of anime people, some may use it unwittingly, etc. But it has propagated and survived. Why did this happen?

You think the chimp out was something he had to do? It was the worst possible move for any audience. It wasn't a situation where it was lose, lose. He could have pretty simply, just been clever. Rolled along with jokes, threw back actual jokes, instead of just trying to be edgy.

But Sam for his entire career, hasn't been funny off of being quick witted. Every time he has done actual stand up, or anything involving other people. The joke was always the audience. He would go to stand up clubs, say things he would know are going to make the audience mad. And when he has gone on interviews in the past, he basically does the same thing. Only this time he completely failed to get the reaction he wanted out of Harlan, escalated because he knew he was looking bad at that point by not being able to keep up with an actual comedian, and not getting the reaction he relies on to come out looking like he is the cleverest boi in the room.

The meanest parts were, in order of execution: The heat lamp, which was a "joke" to make Harland look like a cool guy making the young blood sweat (or possibly the intention was for it to be revealed and for Sam to get mad about it and make Harland look even better). The cunnilingus bit, which was a "joke" about how cunnilingus jokes are intrinsically unfunny and Sam Hyde should feel bad for having made one (the dumb nigger even used it to promote his show, meaning he thought it was one of the best jokes on the show). Sam had three options: double down and prove that cunnilingus jokes are unfunny and he's a bad comedian for having made one, admit that cunnilingus jokes are unfunny and he's a bad comedian for having made one, let Damiel play into the bit and make his crew look terrible, or somehow find a way to make a funny cunnilingus joke, which is impossible. Finally, the gorilla nest bit was a joke about Sam Hyde being a big dumb wigger who ought to shuck and jive for our entertainment. His options were either to build the gorilla nest and try to cope about how he's not really a dumb wigger, refuse because he's too offended, or try to win and accidentally prove the joke correct. The rape joke might seem more mean, and I'm not going to pretend I can read Harland's mind and assign less ill will to it than his prepared jokes, but Sam was the one insisting that he had something funny to say about rape, and the joke did not put Sam into a no win scenario, he could've responded with something like "yea I got raped by the math teacher, I was filming for one of my shows and she got me, my girlfriend was not happy about that". It probably wouldn't have been funny but it didn't have to be something about him getting raped by a Jewish producer or something like that. I don't know if putting Damiel in that chair was Sam's choice, but if he was trying to intimidate Harland by doing that, I can't really describe how stupid that is. Look at this picture. Any other member of the entourage would have been more intimidating, although only Sam and Nick really have the physicality to pull it off.

The rest of that post, do you have actual factual no-social-awareness autism? Any comedian, a profession which requires fast thinking and charisma, should be able to spin any of those situations into a bit outside that false dichotomy you set up. Like how Harland turned having an antagonistic stranger at his back into a joke at both Damiel's and Sam's expense.

You can easily find plenty of stories out of Japan about women reporting rapes & sexual assaults only for the police to ignore them. It was much worse years ago but more & more young people are speaking up about it. This is the same country that has separate trains for women & children to keep them away from the men. (tried to archive but it didn't work)
