The White trash vs Redneck thing is kind of patchy, for reference in California, Oildale the shithole methville next to bakersfield whites there would be classified as white trash, half of them are on drugs and their living situation basically mirrors nick rekieta's current setup, they steal parts from other peoples trucks to add to their shitty trucks casually in broad daylight. Meanwhile, a lot of the rednecks ie mountain boys are usually friendly but very slouched in maintaining their properties and tend to pile up mechanical crap like packrats, the meme with the redneck with five rustbucket cars on his lawn is pretty prevalent, they usually have several skillsets whether from welding/mechnical repair/animal husbandry so at the very least their usually pretty useful, the problem is where they correlate with white trash they tend to pivot into meth and drug production a lot of the times and have domestic issues similar to white trash but at least they contribute to society and are a net positive in the overall maintenance of their local areas its just aesthetically their very icky and uncouf to suburban homos and townies.

My brainwashing comment stands. It took a lot of time and distance to understand how much my "own" society hated me. There is a Germaine Greer quote that can be transposed onto how Whites have no Idea about this:

I have an admitted axe to grind with this, but I personally blame seething Yankees and ignorant Westerners for this.

White Trash can be urban, suburban, or rural white people. Its entirely a categorization based on behavior and race and has little valence beyond that.

People not from the South have little interest in distinguishing southerners, so they collapse distinct categories and terms.

I will attempt to elucidate and I invite fellow Southrons to give feedback and correction.

Southern: broad classification based on geographic, linguistic, and cultural traits. Used by Southerners themselves to denote someone who particularly exhibits souther mannerisms and character.

Country: Someone who has a rural or countryside background. Can be of any economic level, education level, or social class. Can be engaged in white or blue collar work. Tends to be somewhat genteel more than anything in manner, but retain southern accents and sensibilities.

Redneck: Working class characterized by a more rough and tumble attitude. Tend to be more aggressive and to be less cultured, but are often hardworking. Tend to be from the countryside or small towns and have disorganized front lawns. Problem with alcohol abuse.

Hick: similar to rednecks, but less educated and less motivated. Tend to get lumped with rednecks, giving rednecks a worse reputation. Lawn and house interior in varying states of neglect and disrepair. Often addicted to drugs.

Hillbilly: Even less educated, isolated, insular, strange and hard to understand even for hicks and rednecks. Source of memes/notions about southern inbreeding.
Can be hardworking in a simple way.

I'll accept my puzzle pieces now.

I disagree. I think white trash as a term is retarded, but it describes a real subset of people. The bigger issue imo, is that relativists and oikophobes do not even know what it means and who it refers to other than as an insult for white people they think they're better than.

The term cracker is a similar word whose history is argued goes back to England where it referred to the "white trash" that were from the perilous border region between warring Scotland and England.

We can add etymology to the list of things that the MATI thread features.

There are a bunch of subsets of a bunch of people, but none of them are white trash. Same way that white women aren't "Karens". It isn't about etymology, it's about a state of mind and what you will or will not accept.

trash is trash. the people who's got 6 kids from 4.5 different fathers and living on WIC and EBT and "can't work" cause they're so FUCKING FAT definitely don't think twice about dropping their kids off at Walmart at 11pm.

god fucking damn i don't miss working walmart overnight. the people would drop 14 year olds off at midnight and pick them up at 4am. Walmart is not a mall, and midnight is NOT a time when 13-17 y/o's should be in a walmart anyway. (I'm not going to even dare to say they shouldn't stay up, because that was peak dialup Internet time for me.)

I recently had an epiphany about that constant attention whoring DM/ then leak the DM’s cycle. I thought, what if a large majority of those dramafags are underage? That’d make that behavior easily banned.

All I’m really saying is that behavior is childish so it’s reasonable to assume children are doing it. I’m sure there are many exceptions, too many, but attention whores being mistaken as underage posters is understandable. It’s really been something the past 2-3 years especially, how these strange cliques have formed who spend all day fagging out on each other. Maybe a Holocaust is due.

And please realize that Mountain Dew is not a 1:1 substitute for water.

Oh and stop drunkenly shooting up stop signs. That may fall under quitting the booze.

(also, lmao i did have a hobby 77 vette. but when i moved across country, i had to sell it. worse decision i made. i've cried over missing that car.)

If you have known just as many white people of a poor character as black people, then given the relative populations in the USA, it stands to reason that blacks are 4x as likely to be of poor character. If they were the same likelihood, we would expect you to see 4x as many whites of poor character.

If there are equal quantities of whites and blacks of poor character as you claim, then turning every white into a perfect saint overnight can only half-solve the problem at best. I'm not saying that's not an improvement, or that your attitude is wrong - indeed, taking responsibility for one's condition is commendable - but I am saying that there is a reason that "just surgically excise the problems over and over and let survival bias do the rest" is a very attractive solution for society-scale problems, one that Europe has historically used to great effect.

"Just work on improving yourself" is a great personal philosophy, but there are times you simply need authority to be wielded over others for the wellbeing of all (including those it is wielded against). Those that do not share your philosophy will not simply leave you alone.
