Hey josh I just listened to your stream.

The push back with the saber spark thing was interesting.

I think you were more nail on the head about that fact that he was upfront on "your not my girlfriend" being what soured the thing for her.

I also fully support what I assume is you policy of not talking about your relationships or your dick.

The whole push back you had with chat regarding consent gave me flash backs to some very old drama I witnessed in my late teens.

super short version.

Okay looking fit white dude is a booty hound. He is out to get his fuck on. This is before online dating was a big thing. He refines his methods but most of all. He has a few simple rules, like

he will sweet talk girls with cheesy lines like "I m starting to have feelings for you"

He runs a numbers and time game. The if he cant lay pipe in about 3-6 weeks move on. also helps to be talking to multiple women.

Dude plies his bullshit to a mousy girl that grew up in a small hick farming town, who never had a boyfriend before. sadly she didnt make the cut he had a better fish on the line and cut her lose.

I saw this informed her that hey he cut you lose because their are other girls and thats kinda what he does.

She decides she really wants his attention and give him her virginity, was a willingly pump and dump for him.

blah blah I get to sit there and watch this train wreck. At somepoint she up and fessy that she did it because she wanted his attention and that was a way to get it.

Things get more trashy and but a year or two later some more drama comes down the pipe about how mr player kinda stalled in the status and looks department and basically starts hitting the old hambeasts and slam pigs. One of those slam pigs was a friend of the first girl and my jaw hit the floor when she refered to mr booty hound as an "ex" going yeah you dont fuck your friends "ex"

I basically called her out reminding her how she knew giving it up to him was to just get his attention, they were never in a relationship he just fucked her over.

Thats the most blatant example I saw because the girl in question flatout said what the deal was.

The other thing about this parasocial youtuber groupie shit. Is that its new skin on an old game.

back in my day there was a local scene for things. Guys would engage in an activity for status, I knew alot of dudes that wanted to be musicians because they wanted to fuck girls and there were a few places that would host the local shitty band scene. fuck a few years ago I watched a pool boy (40 year old at that) do a thing on song on stage and walk down and just start making out with a woman.

the final thing is when you mention asking for consent, sounds like a logical thing to do right? well relationship and hooking up arent logical. The reason the chat pushed back is people dont do that because when you push for verbal okay your making woman responsible for what happens and most women do that whole "if you have to ask then the answers no"

Verbally asking for consent in that story would have just added the line from some other metoo story about how "I said yes, but only because I was scared of what he would do if I said no". It's not that she didn't consent to sex, it's just she didn't consent to sex without a relationship. Is it right to call it a rape? Nah probably not, but who cares, stop having promiscuous sex retards. Cody Wilson would not have statutorily raped that girl if he just wasn't paying prostitutes, it's literally that simple.
 
Literally all of these problems can be solved by just avoiding casual sex and instead only fucking a woman you've gotten to know and actually like. I'm not even saying you gotta be married first.

As @Jotch said, the knot of it all is premarital sex but I think it's deeper than that.

The hook-up culture of the day has created a glamour around something that people want to participate in. You don't have to be an incel to buy in to the idea that the ability to flaunt your influence and charm your fans into letting you fuck them is tempting. You don't have to be a pick-up artist to desire the ability to charm women. The reality that shatters the fantasy is that it's a minefield. On top of all of that, how many YouTubers have demonstrated that they had the presence of mind to navigate the choppy waters of parasocial relationships and having fan interactions just because they enjoyed their content?

I traveled to Knoxville to meet Nick Rekieta and Vic Mignonga at Bubbafest to support them. I had enough awareness of parasocial relationships that I already understood I don't know Nick personally just because I listened to his streams. At the same time, while I only think I know him, he doesn't know me at all. If I were in Nick's position, or Saberspark, or Destiny, I don't know what I would do knowing I've achieved some level of notoriety that everyone who meets me because of that content is going to immediately have a charitable inclination toward me, but will also be complete strangers to me. A lot of that clicked into clarity for me because of this trip, and I left Knoxville believing you had to be a special kind of narcissist to enjoy this kind of thing. Also met my fiancé, so that was nice.

I like to listen to Chris Hansen busts for background noise. In those stings you're dealing with someone who knows that there's a ton of risk in what they're doing and they very likely are getting set up. They'll mention it while chatting with the decoy. They'll even bring up Chris by name. And when caught, they'll be asked if they've seen the show and will say they have. The impulse and compulsion to engage in this fantasy is so powerful that it defies self-preservation to just not do it in the first place. If Saberspark really acknowledged it was wrong to date, that suggests he knew there were risks associated with what he was doing.

Of course casual hook-ups are risky. If you're a YouTuber, especially so when you're hooking up with fans. It's probably a bad idea to invite a female fan into your hotel room. It's probably a bad idea to talk about how wrong it would be to date, but then start making out. It's probably wrong to repeat this over and over, for a year, and then take her into a bathroom and fuck her mouth. It's a really bad idea not to make your intentions crystal clear, and also a really bad idea to wait until after you've cum in her to make sure you're on good terms, and offer a handshake while you do it. Why did Saberspark do all of this? It's the fantasy of being so appealing that you can wield that influence to sate baser impulses, and you'll turn off your self-preservation drives to satisfy it.

I don't think Josh is saying he needed to fill out a consent form, or ask if it's okay to kiss in all cases. But if you're going to pursue casual sex, there's a degree of 'Cover Your Ass' that needs to happen, even if some people say it takes the fun out of the pursuit. What are you pursuing? Five minutes of feeling like a hot-shit casanova because you're a relatively successful youtube known for covering... *checks notes* ...children's cartoons. Yeah, I'm sure he feels real good about his escapades right now.

Without the advent of YouTube I doubt Saberspark would have ever had the popularity and wealth to get into this position in the first place. We're in an age where people like him are achieving attention they ordinarily would not get and was not equipped to handle. This is the case for many, like Destiny, would would still be a carpet cleaner in Kansas if not for the Internet allowing him to gain a following that he can exploit to be a gross coom-gremlin. Many such cases. It's not hard to fuck your fans, but it might be if you were never of strong moral character before the wealth and means.

I'm not into hook-up culture and never was. I'm engaged to a fellow Catholic and we're waiting until our wedding day to give that gift to one another. I can't expect everyone have the same attitude about premarital sex; If you think spontaneous hook-ups is the spice of life, go for it, but don't delude yourselves into ignoring the obvious inherent risks of doing so. Otherwise you're also coping about the fantasy of no-strings fucking and how easily it can get your shit all retarded. Obviously you're not going to need a consent form if you're pursuing someone for a relationship grounded in mutual love, trust, and forming a life together. If you're going to wield your meager pngtuber influence to get pussy, just CYA. Maybe find Jesus while you're at it.
