While I don't plan on watching the movie or looking any further into it, I can see based on that trailer why people would get the impression of anti-natalism even if its not what the movie is about.

Im not sure where I first heard it, but isnt one of the common narratives for why women needed access to outside-the-home work that the new labor-saving devices made domestic housework too easy? Leaving women with nothing to do at home.
 
I'm not sure how many Kiwis are aware at all of the squatter epidemic ramping up in America. TL;DR: people are literally stealing entire houses and more, and state laws are what enable them to do this, most of "them" being shitskin parasites.

A recent incident under the online spotlight has been a fat old Pooja who has made squatting into an actual profession and lifestyle, complete with abusing the courts, employer contacts and social media to do everything she can to destroy the lives of those she steals houses from. An IRL streamer who goes by Asian Andy collabed with another IRL streamer going by Scuffed Justin Carey to chase her out of Andy's sister's house. The sister in question was retarded enough to rent out her home on Air BNB while away, and the Pooja took the opportunity and California law to dig herself in like a tick. Pooja destroyed "her" room, threatened to destroy the doors and windows, locked a legal paying tenant out of the house, assaulted said legal tenant to the point of breaking his foot, and spent the entire time threatening everyone else with legal action and referring to the property as hers. Asian Andy tried to troll her away himself before resorting to SJC's assistance, and both stages were fully livestreamed, followed up with a video update on the situation, including a Google Drive compilation of a sample of her past and current bullshit.

There's currently no thread for the Pooja, and I'm genuinely shocked.

If it is that's really dumb. The point of things that make work easier is not to give you time for more unnecessary work.

I absolutely understand having a job and a separate account as 'mask off' insurance, but getting a job in stead of spending that time on better, more important and decompressing activities as 'something to do' completely baffles me. Imagine not spending that time seen as 100% elective with friends, family, hobbies or polishing life skills like sewing, cooking, home repair, vehicle repair, gardening, shooting, fishing, etc. If you don't need or even really want the extra cash from the job as the reason to work that job, why take it from someone else who does? IDFK, maybe I'm missing/forgetting something, like making sure a Pajeet doesn't get that job.

You listen to this, and hearing all the ways they were censored. Sounds a lot like what happened during drop kiwifarms.

Having to hop to different isp's, getting blocked in some regions, getting blocked through dns providers. Etc. He makes a point, similar to what I have heard null mention. That making this precident, sets up a system, to then block the next thing. So its easier to start censoring more content, because the system is already in place.

every day I hear about some shit like this and think it's more and more ridiculous that we're supposed to care about what happens in the middle east or eastern europe or china. why don't we fix our own country first? because it would be racist and antisemitic?

it's also common in my country. Once they tried this with one of my dad's friends. The dude hired some gypsies who camped in front of the house making the squatters life a living nightmare and they ended up leaving after a couple of weeks.

Maxis made software toys.

Some of Maxis's products were also games, and would often get gamified elements mixed in to match the expectations of consumers. SimAnt's victory condition was defeating the red ants and chasing out the homeowners by overrunning the house.

One of my favorites, SimTower, was actually a gamified elevator simulator. SimCity 2000 (in some editions) would let you send your "Launch Ecologies" into space a la Cities in Flight (W) (They Shall Have Stars). Don't get me started talking about SimCopter!

I still want SimMars, which was probably cancelled because The Sims was their biggest hit by a mile.
