I am not sure what kind of communication I want to set up. I really want to avoid a Discord since it's unencrypted Tencent malware but I think the only other alternative is Slack,

Maybe consider self-hosted open source alternatives on one of your servers if you don't want to use Dropbox or Discord.

Like owncloud or nextcloud or seafile for your file hosting.

And a similar open-source self-hosted product for your slack / discord alternative...

These ones above all have open-source servers and phone apps for iOS and Android

Downside is people have to stay logged on a browser tab or phone app, but I don't think that's a big ask for security, anonymity, and not supporting Satan
