As do I. I used to love heckling him while he was screaming about how bullshit and unfair the game was. I look forward to when he has a proper streaming setup again. I actually have some potential game recommendations too.I really miss the Bad At Video Games streams![]()
Fair point. I gave up video games twice in my life. Once because I had a lot of friends I'd rather spend time with. And another because I thought the games were making me 'lazy and depressed'. The former was good and the latter almost led to me developing worse hobbies.
Also, if you like video games, you sort of crave challenges so you often replace it with things like politics so you can get mad about stuff and fight against it.
I used to play tons of autism simulators back in the day until it occurred to me that they were serving as a surrogate for actually building things. Once I realized that I could have fun in real life building complex systems, even if it was just something as simple as a home server, every game seemed like a cheap imitation of actual accomplishment, and I've found them to be unsatisfying. I think young men with a craving for "playing with legos" should beware games and services that rob them of actual development and accomplishment by serving as surrogates for the "thrill of systems building"
