It also aired on Fox and I only watched Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. It also wasn't something my mom watched or my grandparents. My grandparents were definitely not the target audience, and my mom rarely watched television. If she did, it was shows like Say Yes to the Dress and stuff about flipping houses. My friends in school watched South Park instead and never talked about the Simpsons.

In retrospect, I saw the Simpsons Movie in theaters and remember liking it. I cannot remember anything about the plot though, except that it took place in Alaska or something.

Very unlikely, the people attached to the IP in the past have always added incredibly small differences between house choices if any at all. At most, I'd expect flavor dialogue and a different common room layout.
