It's even simpler. Women (generally, because it's always a spectrum) like men who can use their hands in constructive ways. A man who can cook well is a pussy magnet, not because of the quality of his food, but because he demonstrates physical dexterity and strength. The feminine attraction to dextrous hands is the reason "yaoi hands" became such a meme.

What we don't see is likely the malformed kiwi abomination cookies that didn't work out. Unless Josh is just goated like that and got them perfect first try.
