Ya know, I always wonder how his mind actually interprets the things he says. Less so the obvious danger areas (the darker stuff when it comes to women), but specifically how he can't connect stuff in his brain as embarrassing and whatnot because he can do that to some extent. For example, he knows (at some level) that being a fat, unemployed, schizofrenic freak who doesn't own a vehicle (nor allowed behind the wheel and lives at a nursing home isn't desirable, where his typical response is to moo about the theist conservative bigots.

But then you see stuff like this where he's intentionally hiding the embarrassing facts without his usual theatrics. Anyone with surface-level knowledge of Lucas would immediately put two and two together, but the Netflix post is bordering around typical human behavior if you looked at it in a vacuum. Ofc it's not because of the "I have my own room" and "I can literally Netflix and chill" portions which are massive red flags for people to look deeper into it, but you get some insight into how Lucas's mind works when he's trying to manipulate people.

I'd just really love to get a peek under the hood to see Lucas's approach to manipulating people, and ofc, how it works when he seamlessly ignores history, reality, and all that nonsense.

Oh absolutely. I am curious what spawned this change. I kinda doubt it was due to his name finally being called or Lucas being able to cash in on goodboy points. More than likely, there was an incident or confrontation. Could also be something to do with his health and he needed to be more closely monitored. Though they've already fucked up if that's the case by letting him gorge on food and get high.

Aside from the fact nobody, let alone a teen girl wants to go to a place like that and netflix and chill with a mentally ill hobo, lucas is being manipulative again. He doesn't watch tv, by his own admission it makes the voices on the wind go nuts and causes him problems. He also doesn't have the money to afford a netflix account. Any money he would use on that he'd spend on gorging himself on food first. To say nothing of the fact mallon place isn't going to allow anybody to show up to meet lucas in his room and do anything netflix and chill related, let alone somebody like lucas who is prone to going batshit if things take a wrong turn

That said this has to be either behavior or health related. Given the limited number of people living there and the fact lucas admitted there are staff living downstairs i'm betting its health related, for people who take a turn for the worse and need somebody on call 24/7 in case theres an emergency but for those who aren't quite at the threshold of requiring permanent hospitalization yet. Theres also the fact that if it was behavior related he'd have been kicked out given his history and certainly wouldn't be already advertising inviting litle girls over to netflix and chill with him

I'm curious how the news was brought up to him. Assuming it is health related, they probably didn't approach him about it that way because Lucas would definitely spaz out. Plus it's so much easier treating him like a child, like "Oh Lucas, this is so great. You get your own room and your own TV like a big boy."

On the flip side, it wouldn't shock me if it was behavioral related. The fact his original announcement implied it was a temporary move lends credence to it being a mental/behavioral move more than a health-related move for sure. He had been rambling about quantum luck alternate realities for a few weeks at that point, which is quintessential schizoloon behavior. Could have been a means to be a bit more vigilant in ensuring he's taking his meds as well as separating him away from the general population.

Two things I'm curious about are:

1) If meals are served at the new residence or if he has to walk back to the Mallon Place cafeteria. If it's the former, Lucas definitely ain't happy about it unless they simply go overboard everywhere meal. Cooking for 5 people instead of 50+ (hell if I know how many reside at the nursing home), there tends to be less leftovers, extras, and whatnot. For the latter, it's not like there's any distance that could keep Lucas away from free food, but a 5 minute walk there/back is definitely an inconvenience that I'm certain brothers ol' Lukey Luke.

2) Are there any female residents besides the wife or whatever. While a single woman being there is a big concern, a female patient is even moreso. I kinda doubt it's the case for numerous reasons, the fact Lucas living there only being one of several. Though I do kinda hope that isn't the case because it'd push Lucas to do a proper moo.

I imagine they're telling him to do something different than what he's done for the last 20 years, but saying "Hi, I'm Lucas. Can I buy you a drink?" in monotone to himself, offering monthly meals, offering to pick up sticks, and calling them bigots has to work at some point.... right???

The day is young, so hopefully this is just the behind to a day full of moos that'll eventually orient themselves into quality content. Personally, I'm hopeful another catfish takes hold soon. The one from a few months ago was great content.
