How many terrible woketard shows from this fucking hack are going to get cancelled?

The answer is: not enough.
Remember when he was a comedian?

I watched the scene. I guess it's the one with some white chick falling apart to reveal a black chick underneath that stabs a guy in the ass with a high-heel while some black-shit ghetto music is playing in the background?

It's some of the sickest shit I have ever seen, especially given that it's supposed to be an "empowering" scene. Anyone defending that show in general or that scene in particular is mentally ill.
In the episode, Strange Case (a reference to The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde), a black character is given a potion that transforms her into a white woman. She uses it to take part in a number of activities denied to her under segregation, such as applying for certain jobs and shopping at whites-only stores.

While working as a manager at a department store, the other employees convince the sole black employee (not the woman taking the potion, whom they believe to be white) to take them on a pub/bar crawl in the black neighborhoods of the city. The black employee reluctantly agrees, and during the night out, a male manager who went with them attempts to pressure her into sleeping with him. She refuses and he calls her a nigger, causing her to run off. The transformed woman overhears the exchange and decides this is a crime worthy of death (via violent rape).

That's the full context.
Ok, wow, just when you think Woke can't surprise you anymore they always hit a new level of depraved.

This is some genuinely sick shit, thinking rape is justified in any context, even against bad people and not just rape but rape to the point of death is some flat out evil shit and this is being condoned by a major media company like HBO aka Warner Bros?

This is more hateful than any old media ever was against blacks, not even something like Birth of a Nation took things that far, congratulations left wing, you are now in one way more evil than the racists of yesteryear were.

Just absolutely sickening, with the only silver lining being at least this shit was canceled and only lasted 1 season, maybe a sign of changing times? But the fact that it ever got made in the first place well, you really wonder where this mindset is going to go if it continues.

Sounds like something that would be annoying for a white person who doesn't hate himself for it, like me, to watch.

But it's okay. Everything doesn't need to appeal to me. There's enough crap out there that tries to appeal to everybody under the sun, and is thus completely generic.

I was so glad to hear it got cancelled. Lovecraft was WAAAAAYCIS but we're still not above appropriating his work to help push our clumsy, hamfisted social commentary. Fucking die.

Well his other SJW show the new Twlight zone got canceled too. Hopefully that's a good sign.

Such ignorance of history from those who want to be the arbiters of it. The entire thing seems insanely arbitrary. Why is Texas split in half randomly, including major sections of unusable desert? Why is whitey just a diagonal line of territories? Wouldn't Oklahoma be a better fit for part of le epic 'tribal nation'? And everything here is race based except for the Jeffersonians. What the fuck even is this. Not only is it oblivious to racial makeup alone, but also geography. Who would even be fighting over desert land when the nation balkanizes. There'd be far fewer resources to do fuck all with it.

Has anyone actually read the novel this is adapted from and how much is changed? From the Wikipedia page the basic themes of racism and being black in Jim Crow America are there but I don't see the more ridiculous shit like 'just following orders and committing war crimes is fine if you're a strong BIPOC', 'brutally sodomizing a white man to death because he said a naughty word is empowerment', and 'every last white person is forever barred from magic' in there.

In general I’m disappointed by how people on either side of the “debate” treat Lovecraft’s work.

Let’s pick some low hanging fruit like “The Shadow Over Innsmouth.” The story is an extremely unsubtle allegory for miscegenation. The text itself states that Innsmouth was seen as a hub of miscegenation with Pacific Islanders, before later revealing that literal fish wives were involved.

SJW Fanfiction like “The Litany of Earth” goes crazy with this by depicting the fish people as a literal persecuted minority. The whole fish person part is basically irrelevant. It’s gone from horror to just another episode of Star Trek.

The other side of the fence goes out of its way to ignore the miscegenation allegory (which, again, is hamfisted in the original text), and likes to lovingly describe the fish people as horrible evil cannibal rapists who are fighting a war of extermination against humanity. E.g. “The Doom that Came to Innsmouth” and Cthulhutech.

I feel this wastes the storytelling potential. By far the best post-Lovecraft story involving Innsmouth that I ever experienced was the adventure game Call of the Sea. But YMMV

I was so disbelieving when I read about the rape scene a while back that I decided to look up how fans of the show reacted to it and found some reddit thread where people were making fun of white people being upset about the guy getting "red bottomed"... Shows what these creatures really think about rape victims, I guess.

"Manhattan for a handful of beads? Howwwww"

I haven't read the novel but I did read another novel by the same author and I can't imagine it's as hateful as the TV show, especially since the book was 2016, the TV show was 2020, things got way more hateful from 2016 to 2020.

Good guys are definitely known to laugh about violent rape, that really makes someone a good guy.

But was the allegory of 'race-mixing is bad' really that prominent?
Haven't read it in a while but doesn't the main character look forward to being a fish person at the end?

Here’s a quote:
But the real thing behind the way folks feel is simply race prejudice—and I don’t say I’m blaming those that hold it. I hate those Innsmouth folks myself, and I wouldn’t care to go to their town. I s’pose you know—though I can see you’re a Westerner by your talk—what a lot our New England ships used to have to do with queer ports in Africa, Asia, the South Seas, and everywhere else, and what queer kinds of people they sometimes brought back with ’em. You’ve probably heard about the Salem man that came home with a Chinese wife, and maybe you know there’s still a bunch of Fiji Islanders somewhere around Cape Cod.

This is depicted as a bad scary horror ending. It’s supposed to be a horror story, not a happy story where a racist overcomes his racism.

I am more offended by the fact that the map there has absolutely no regards for natural barriers or anything else that usually informs borders than the stupid racial politics of it. They just drew random lines on a map to makes those provinces.

Edit: And I realize this is just "black boys control the confederacy now, take that whitey!" But where the fuck is the Hispanic Ethno state?
Not to defend the show but I think it's supposed to be a jab against how hastingly the European powers divided the borders in Africa.
It's still retarded because whites would obviously fight against this and win more territories than these other nations.

I'm looking back at this thread and just thinking to myself:

"This shit is actually insulting to black people."

Sure, I'm not black, but you don't have to be black to see that the black characters here, especially the war criminal Atticus and Ruby the rapist, do a disservice to the black community by depicting them as rather monstrous as the whites here. Not to mention this show was written by a black man whose plot straight up sounds like Nation of Islam propaganda with content so hateful that even Al Sharpton would tell you to cool it with the white hating.

Even though this is forgotten to hell, it's still pretty damn hilarious looking back on it.
