I'm not an expert on the U.S's legal system but I'm guessing the first part is in reference to time served. Time served does count towards a mandatory minimum but courts don't usually keep someone without bond in order to count towards time served. The "held without bond" is for criminals who committed terrible crimes (one would think this is one) and you don't want to endager the public by letting them out. That or they present a flight risk. However a judge must be able to articulate with great reasoning a reason to not allow bail as grsnting bail is more often than not the rule not the exception.

As for the second half, having or not having bond doesn't equate or ellude to future sentencing. Having bond doesn't make it any more or less likely that the sentence is parole. Plenty of people have been granted bond, spent time preparing for a trial and then ended up with life in prison. Many courts are fine with bail because the state gets paid and the jail is unburdened by one less pre-trial convict they have to take care of. Mind you no matter how damning the evidence, until he is put on trial and convicted or pleads guilty he is "innocent" and the state must treat him as such to a "reasonable" extent lest they cause any number of problems that could damage the state's case. Worth noting that time on bail does not count towards time served. In an ideal society he would have been Judge Dredd'd in his living room.

Now getting accused of a crime against a child, in FUCKING FLORIDA, of all places, is NOT a good place to be in. And knowing how the legal system is in the states, it would probably take months to convict him of anything.

He better pray he makes bail, else it's going to be a long hard time before he even sees a courtroom.

A bit more on this. These banners are actually at the top of every page, and are filled with rotating advertisements. Recently, a few caught my eye.

The bottom ad is for a gambling site. The top one is what I'm more interested in. It leads to a website called NextGenPeps. NextGenPeps is a company that sells peptides and nootropics. Some of the drugs they sell include investigational drugs not approved by the FDA, like Retatrutide and Melanotan(a). "How are these companies allowed to sell these drugs?" you may ask. They way they get away with it is by claiming that all drugs sold "are strictly for laboratory and research purposes" and "not for human consumption" to get around a federal regulation prohibiting the commercial distribution of investigational drugs. However, I think this argument kind of goes out the window when you pay to advertise on a site where discussion of the drugs is almost exclusively about human use.

Why does this matter? Who cares if a bunch of retards are fucking themselves up with experimental drugs and getting addicted to gambling? Well, these aren't just any retards. According to this poll, over half of their userbase is under 18.

Lamarcus Small is promoting both gambling and experimental drugs to children. Additionally, he might run afoul of the federal regulation I mentioned earlier, which also prohibits the promotion of investigational drugs.

Yup. Chomos getting beat/killed in prison hasnt been a thing in forever. Too many of them in prison and legal protections mean they get separated.

Most famous example of prison justice Jeffrey Dahmer wasn't killed because he was a pedo, but because the black inmate that beat him to death was upset a lot of his victims where black.
