It's either a schizo or someone really salty about their thread. I don't think it's an ad. Even really engrish adbots usually have a link or something that sounds like an actual product. The janny is so fed up that all posts associated with their IPs have been deleted (scuttled, because they're pirates). Read from bottom to top.
I didn't archive much, so I can't cross compare which post numbers were deleted to see if there was any milk, but I did have this one post screenshotted:
I found the juxtaposition between "I use heroin" and "I annoy my cat" to be very funny, so I just happened to snag it.
So, the cat sperg uses heroin. That explains a lot.

The demographic shift part hit home with me, I've also noticed it on KF. It seems like a lot of tiktok cows attract an a-loggy moral faggy following rather than people who just want to point and laugh. It's always important to remember that cows are supposed to be funny imo. I think the oldfags are just too busy with real life for us to see a proper revitalized IB culture, and zoomers can't figure out how to use them, anyway.

it's not really one thing, it's the sum of many smaller things. a lot of them overlap with each other. i don't know if i can really even pinpoint them all, but just from my pov some include:

admin doesnt seem to spend a lot of time on the site, and staff seems to be composed of (very young) yes men that dont actually understand the consequences of things. e.g., luigi thread should have been banned early on because it was obviously going to attract tourists, but mods didn't think that far ahead and now they're dealing with the consequences of their inaction. there doesnt seem to be a cohesive guide for moderating, it's just a case by case basis, and that can be frustrating for the userbase because it can make staff choices seem personal or targeted.

a lot of anons that originally used lc in the mid 2010s are older now and they aren't as online anymore. people that were using the internet in the late 00s and early 10s are a lot different from people using the internet in the mid 20s. the culture of the internet has changed (for better or for worse idk but its changed nonetheless). zoomer hate is often overstated and nonsensical, but it is true that they're a lot less tech literate than older generations, their sense of humor is different, and their priorities are too. zoomers usually seem to hate-follow lolcows, instead of just laughing at them, and it makes for a more politicized and bitter experience.

self-explanatory. bad formatting and bad code. it makes it so that its pretty hard to actually fix stuff. updating the catalog shouldn't have taken 5 months. theres that now-infamous "server 500 error" or whatever that people are getting when they try to post, and ofc there's no support for them or explanation of why this error occurs. the admins are too cowardly to actually upgrade the site à la nucow because they fear the reaction of the 10% of users that are autistic when it comes to change. if you go back to the early points of our migration here, a common theme is that a lot of anons were surprised that jc was so smooth and easy to use because they were so used to lc's shoddy code and poor operation.

I've been thinking about this lately. Most people that were active in the 00s aren't really doing anything better in real life. Let's be real, most millennials aren't exactly killing it. We got a late start, most of us don't have kids, we're in boring careers. The ones I know who are doing well still manage to find time to piss away online if they want to. I think perhaps a bigger factor is how split the internet is across many different social media sites. But I don't really know.
The demographic shift is annoying, but hopefully they will age out of this behavior, it seems like teenager behavior.

That write up is pretty thought provoking. Users in their late 20's to early 30's are at the tail end of being a millennial and beginning of the zoomer. They've had time to join the site and tend to understand KF or IB ettiquette. It's honestly bizarre when new users join the farms that they don't intigrate into the culture? They tend to act like how tumblr SJWs did. Or they get super aggressive and negrate like they're on reddit.
You'd think the LC staff would try and recruit the late millennial early zoomer instead to take over the site and teach the "new gens."

And the janny decided they were right, which is why I didn't bother including it, so I wouldn't have to do an autistic sidebar and describe something immaterial. We can assume the janny fat fingered "ban, scuttle" and "scuttle by IP" for the second one since she didn't delete anyone else's posts based on their IP. I've only ever seen that done for the resident scrote namefag, too. No one else was banned. It's not unusual for an individual to have access to several IPs. I could expect anyone to have access to at least two. Their home network, and their phone's data plan.
Cerbmin is too busy pretending to be 3 different people to do anything else. Farmers will whine about people posting links to LC on TikTok and they'll also post stuff like "wow you've only been posting here for 7 years? Newfag alert." It's just sort of dumb. So LC is supposed to be a gatekept ivory tower for middle aged female cow enthusiasts? That's going to get old eventually. There's been talk of a new IB made for women for the past 9 months with no one being able to figure out how to buy a VPS and domain name in that time.

There were multiple people arguing and multiple people banned. It's also pretty obvious those two batches of posts were from multiple people, unless you're going to say that it was a single person arguing with themselves for 100 posts.

No, I did not "spam."
I posted about the cats once in January 2025 and got immediately banned for "advertising". I was in mexico for a month afterwards and didn't post again on lolcow until like May. I got banned again for supposedly spamming, which I didn't understand as I'd checked the site and the cats were barely mentioned at all.
Anons here also expressed confusion and said they didn't remember seeing any cat spam.
I don't know at what point it morphed into this weird hysteria, but not everyone who posted about it was me and I'm sorry for any anon who was unfairly sperged at or banned

I don't think the LC staff care enough to cultivate any kind of particular experience or audience. I just don't get the impression they care that much.
They do seem to desire a very specific userbase, hence the constant micromoderation over things like text formatting or undesirable slang. The site lacks the free expression one would expect from an anonymous imageboard, but at the same time wants the clout of having it, so they won't state this outright, and just micromod to death.

Women are just really bad at this stuff, there's no way around it. Even when they have the technical knowledge, none of them seem to be able to commit for a long enough period of time to build a decent site. The most successful female-run sites in internet history are dreamwidth and AO3, neither of which are really shining gems in the internet experience.
