Because they weren't. They were just hastily put together imageboards after cgl mods got all weird about "targeting" people. It was basically just to keep talking shit about Pixyteri which eventually branched out to other cows. StaminaRose's mod pussied out when PT was threatening suicide. Then came the rise of lolcow which originally was lax as well. It changed hands a few times from what I remember and now we have the current iteration or a bunch of leg beards who have unwarranted self importance.

I spent a year or two on there after /cgl/ got boring, it sure wasn't as bad as it is now. Sometime shortly after first admin-sama left the boardculture went into a steep decline, the closing of PULL and the ensuing influx of tourists also didn't help. I check the board every couple of months now but all the major cows are either not producing milk or the threads are just dead, the whole site feels like a ghost town compared to the earlier days. It's also samefag central, one of the april fools changes that added a quasi-ID via forced names showed that without a doubt.

Still have to give them huge props for posting the Spoony candids, what a devastating day that must've been for that fat, snaggle-toothed anglo cunt.

I had a similar history. I browsed /cgl/ for a bit but got a little bored of that and found lolcow. Then, I started browsing KF and certain events made me join up to comment and interact on here. I prefer the forum format way more than image boards anyway. I like to actually know who I'm replying to, conversations are much more coherent that way imo.

Also I just saw on their off topic board that they literally have a thread that's a male version of "why do women hit the wall at 30? Here's pics of redditors for proof."

But in lolcow's she-woman man-hater culture even hinting that you sympathize with a "scrote" will get you shit on. And I'm not even one.

They type like they've never set foot in any board here except the happenings in their life.

Totally agree. I think a lot of people on lolcow are just teenagers with limited life experience. Disappointing to see how many of them hate kiwifarms when the beauty parlor exists.
Although I appreciate certain aspects of their militant anti man stance, at least compared to the days of tumblr when every teenage girl was being told feminism is when you show your tits for money

/cgl/ had some of the best coverage of the Dashcon disaster. I remember spending most of a weekend watching a series of a dozen or more threads that all hit bump limits within a couple hours and then went for hundreds more posts before being replaced.

i get what you mean though, i browsed the site a few times and didn’t stay for more than 10 minutes bc it seems like cancer

It's strange - the way I remember things, back in the day the precious few women who were interested in image board culture were mainly of the based, man respecting variety and there was general disdain for radical feminists and similar creatures. 100% understand the criticism of troons, as they are gross, but don't see how that can extend to the male sex as a whole - last I checked most guys, the decent ones at least, weren't trying to chop off their dicks, chemically castrate mentally teens or reduce womanhood to "am hole" and "dress go spinny".

I think that's simply because women that grew up on imageboards grew disillusioned with men while adopting imageboard culture. Plenty of women on lc are in relationships, so it's not like they hate men on the whole. I'd say the % of married/in rl users is much higher than on say, 4chan. The reason why the hate extends to men is because of the rise of coomerism and porn permeating into everything even more so than before. Couple that with reading about how much men don't see women as people day in day out and it becomes simple really.

I still browse lolcow for 8chan nostalgia, if anything. I found it like a year or so after I started using KF and seeing posts on a chan-type site satisfies something for me. I admit the format is going the way of those sites in general though. The community is hilariously awful at times but it still is more enjoyable for me than trying to look at any of the 4chan boards I used to enjoy or 8kun which I haven't even looked at since it became that.
I agree on the equal-opportunity point, and I find a more diverse set of viewpoints here (and authentic ones at that) than anywhere else. I had deleted my previous account but really regretted it because there's just nowhere quite like the farms left.
 
I can thank lolcow for adding 'scrote' to my internal dialogue vocabulary. I just read pt and snow over there, but prefer here. I appreciate that the KF thread is realizing that they could be next.

Would be interested to know the average female KF user's opinion towards the male sex as a whole as compared to lolcow.farm - can only speak for myself but imo it's never good to generalise 50% of the entire population as evil. When some misandrist comes out of the woodwork here, foaming at the mouth, for the most part they're ridiculed.
 
I noticed the KiwiFarms thread got locked. Can't tell if it's because of the tranny spam or if they're trying to do damage control over being targeted next.

Some time ago i posted normally just for fun to see how long i'd last and never made it more than half an hour before being banned for something petty. Is like the only regular posters are the jannies themselves.

My favorite ban was just a random totally uncontroversial comment and the reason just said : "i don't know why but this just feels scrote-ish"
