I'm torn between Lindsay being :optimistic: enough to think that kids know what a suicide hotline is or that she's just catering to the adults she knows watches her show (because kids most certainly don't)

Kids shouldn't be taught how to write period; they might write something homophobic, transphobic or racist. Especially those horrible white ones.

What I've noticed is that these people never seem to want to talk about how class and wealth trump everything else, be it skin-colour, sexual orientation or any other identity. A wealthy black person will have more in common with a wealthy white person than with poor black people, for instance.

These woke identity warriors will never discuss this however, because it doesn't fit the narrative they want to push and also because in a lot of cases it forces them to confront their own personal privilege which could end up hurting their personal brands.

It probably was at some point but then something terrible happened.
This person looks like someone you would expect to see on a sex offender registry if they "tried" to clean up a bit.
Besides, at 3-5, kids don't even understand the concept of death, let alone something like suicide.
It's the laziest attempt at hiding these insane messages in a kids show that the adults are supposed to understand while the kids are interested in the pretty shapes and shit.

To be fair Queer Kids Stuff had an episode of social class and wealth, but it is so riddled with commie bullshit that it is even cringier than the show usually is.

Reminds me of the hypothesis by Terry Eagleton that postmodernism is the left's response to the failure of the Basically Promised class revolt. When revolution along social class and mode of production is proven to be a failure, lefties search for another line of attack, a chink in the armor of "the system", and that gave us identity politics. Class is nowadays a dirty word because it reminds lefties of their shattered pipe dream.

I think most of the world would go insane if identity politics has anywhere near the lifespan communism did. Doubt it does though.

Identity politics is well and alive in the world, and it's known by the moniker 'tribalism'.

Tribalism meaning one as ultimately beholden to one's tribe and the success of the tribe/clan, not abstract ideals like 'honesty' or 'democracy'. That's identity politics in verb form.

In the West we teach our children to value abstract ideals like benevolence and restraint, and to look to impartial authorities to mete out force... instead of trying to raise dozens of bloodthirsty soldier children to exert force whenever the tribe needs it. Sound familiar?

Tribalism is advanced identity politics and it's the reason why some places are utter shitholes. Or locked in endless turmoil.

When I said Identity Politics I meant it in the current sense of gibmedat and trying to redefine a complex web of interactions and personal situtations to "everyone hates me because I am gay/black/female, give me stuff bigots" even if this person is a millionaire celebrity in America. The kind QKS promotes.

She has no idea how to present to that age group. The way she talks in these videos, it always feels like some sort of instruction video to me. Beginning them with "Welcome to Part 3 of our 4-part series on privilege" does not sound like something that would get a toddler excited to learn, it sounds like something that would put them to sleep.

Maybe that's the point of her videos, she drones on and on about something a toddler will never understand then they go to sleep while their parent stroke their egos thinking they're so great for making their kid watch it.

I disagree. I'm certain that she really is that stupid and deluded. She genuinely thinks that toddlers and small children will understand what she's telling them so long as it's cooed at them nicely and chalked up on the black board with pretty flowers. Lindsay is without a doubt a narcissist, which effectively makes her incapable of empathy and grasping the concept that there are many different different minds, personalities, concepts of integrity etc. As far as she's concerned, there are only three people in the entire world: herself, the enemy, and godly idols. Essentially she's convinced that children are nothing more than Mini-Me that just need a little guidance to become good little soldier clones. She is incapable of understanding that they can't understand.

Oh no disagreeing there she is that deluded I just mean the parents that actually have their kids watch it, it's an ego stroker for them and it puts junior to sleep from boredom so they don't need to put them to sleep (except when it scares them then the parents get pissed because they actually have to calm them down). Though then again a lot of the people that would watch it unironically tend to love their brainwashing forced down their throats with pretty colours and cooing. She doesn't really care/understand kids, if they understand it then she'll blame the parents and the patriarchy for teaching them wrong, not that children don't understand sexuality (and most adults don't understand a lot of the drivel she spews).

Last I checked, there has only been one family who watched this with their kids. Key word being "watched" as they stopped because their kid started freaking out over its own gender because of the shit this show peddles.
