His life before prison sucked, but he had some degree of autonomy and freedom that he won't have after prison and his life is no longer going to be easy for him going forward and he will have to comply with rules that are actively enforced and learn to do that quickly if he wants to keep out of prison.

I'm still a bit shocked that the real sockness wants nothing to do with him after this all came out.
Except he is going to be on the street homeless which is something he has never dealt with long term

he buys the new DLC for animal crossing and buys some more plushie ponies.

Chris started dressing like a Wallmart whore while Bob was still alive. I don't think it came from him emulating his parents, since Bob called him a fag and Barb tried to cut his hair and threatened him with suicide if he wouldn't stop. He was originally just a transvestite, but after he went to social media and was told that he can't pick out only dykes from LGBTSPQR+ zoo, he decided to be female. It was all solely because he failed as a male and hated other males for stealing pussy, so he decided to use disguise. Many autistic incels do that.

I also don't get why people say that Bob was a positive influence for Chris. Yes, Chris wasn't so crazy during that period, but just because he was afraid of Bob. And to be fair, Bob was almost as crazy as Barb. I mean, you have to be mentally not all there to live in that little replica of Bakers estate and be fine with it. The only time when it bothered him in the slightest was when trolls tried to report them to the authorities and guess what? He didn't try to clean it afterwards. He was as fine with living in dirt as Barb was. Also, don't forget that call where Alec pretends to be GamePlace employee. Bob outright tells that members of their community are conspiring against them, which is exactly what Chris claimed in the video where he cries after basketball game. They were telling him this bullshit since he was a kid and here we are.
Yeah, I don’t understand why bob’s insane delusions about some grand conspiracy against their family are so consistently ignored around here. I would argue that Chris’s father telling him that seemingly the entire world is out to get him basically his entire life is as big of a contributing factor to the narcissism as anything else.

To a slow-in-the-mind, how different is the idea that some guy in England is selling knockoff merch of your OC from the idea that the school board is somehow preventing your family from moving away from the district for some mysterious reason?

Bob is honestly an incredibly fascinating character but the farms seems to give him a huge pass because he held down a respectable job, (and, probably also because his socially conservative views,) but he’s as much of a Chandler family member as Chris and Barb. In Chris’s telling a of the godbear incident, it always seems like Bob was nearly as taken by the “revelation “ as Chris, which is incredibly funny. A random troll mashed buttons on a ‘ghetto voice’ soundboard in a prank call and Bob immediately believes it’s an actual person and becomes incredibly racist. He trusted his very stupid son to save their house from an imaginary health department threat entirely on his own. Bob has so many premium lolcow moments, arguably more than Barb, but they’re so often ignored

Nah the idea of suicide is not appealing to him, not saying suicide is a act of courage but he doesn't have the mentality needed for it.
True but considering the people who surrounded him i Isabella it wouldn’t surprise me if they went that far hell one guy try to convert him to the religion of peace
thats what concerns me

I think the reason that Bob gets portrayed in a positive light is because his children from his first marriage grew up well-adjusted and relatively successful.

Counterpoint: Barb raised a well adjusted, relatively successful kid too. Cole seems like he might be an ass, but you have to have yourself at least mildly put together to make a career as a film critic. The barrier to entry is extremely low and the work is enjoyable so you’re doing something right if you can actually make money from it. Especially if you make so much that you can literally burn piles of it in the Carnegie Hall fireplace

I dunno, based on what I recall about Cole's upbringing from what Cole himself has said, Barb didn't sound like a great mother (wasn't there something she did where Cole nearly got shot?) and Cole moved out to college as soon as he could, abandoning everything Chris would later sell in a semi-antagonistic way to try and get Cole's attention. Hell, there's the whole matter over Barb and Cole disagreeing over who is own biological father was.

I'd say Cole was able to pull himself up by his own bootstraps and be successful, independent of the trailer trash he came from. It certainly didn't take much for him to ultimately cut all contact with his own birth mother and Chris only made things worse.

The point isn’t that Barb was a great mother, but rather that Bob’s stable children aren’t ironclad evidence that he was a good father either

Rather you have to have yourself at least mildly put together to get a wealthy woman to marry you and support your hobby.

Barb was firing a gun randomly to try and scare away an intruder, which I'm sure is a common occurrence for most stable mothers.

One of the bullets she fired off landed in a wall a few inches away from young Cole's cranium.

This is just another example of how Barb is such a good and wholesome woman.

True, by the same token Cole absolutely fucking hated Bob so there definitely was something going on there.

I'd chalk that upto Cole being pissed that his mum had brought home yet another man, and he was already done by that point so he and Bob never even attempted to have a relationship let alone a Father Son one.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Bob was blameless in his situation but I'm guessing that Cole wasn't pleasant to live with for Bob either.

Bob was a product of his time. His life was easy as fuck, just like it was for all people who lived through the years following WW2 when America was super-rich. Everyone could make insane amounts of money, even being completely idiotic.

Bob and Barb would have been destroyed if they had to try and earn a living in modern America. Barb's job would be taken by the illegal immigrants who steal all the low-paying jobs.

Bob's position would have been taken by an H1B visa engineer who would be imported and forced to work 120 hours a week for something like five dollars an hour. Remember, salaried workers don't get paid overtime or by the hour, so the 30K salary they make is divided by 120*52=6240 hours a year = 4.8 USD an hour). God bless America!

In my highest hopes, Chris is deemed unfit to care for himself (let's face it, he is) and is medicated and put into the adult care industry. His tugboat is torn down and rebuilt as a life raft and he goes to live with the grandpas and other droolers and mental cases in assisted care. If he does well he may even graduate to some Halfway Home for Repentant Tards and start packing groceries while under the doleful thumb of Seroquel and Virginia's finest social workers. This will be the most socially responsible and respectable era of his life.

In my darkest dreams, Goddess Christina The Jesus of Nazareth is dumped back onto the streets and within 24 hours has lost her home, her family, her money, and her toys, sending her into a doom spiral. She'll haunt the library computer lounge until circumstances force her to become a hard-living bum. Maybe she chances into an obamaphone or delusional simps finance some way for her to get back online and we end up with some hybrid Ahuviya/Lucas Werner saga. This will be one of the milkiest eras of Her life.
