I don't see any merit in the claim that gay men are any more likely to be infatuated with youthfulness than straight men are, especially since males on average display far less physical neoteny than females in humans. If anything, one would expect a strong preferable for youth to correlate negatively with male homosexuality.
There's also a big difference between not wanting someone who looks old, and wanting someone who looks like an adolescent. Just because you're not attracted to the 60+ crowd doesn't mean that you must want the 18- crowd.
