any piece of media that's targeted at "queer folx" is gonna be utter fucking trash because the characters main trait is being fags

this movie felt like some smut fat women read on the bus, i didn't like it

This is why Maurice is superior.

1. The original novel was written by a gay man, E.M. Forster.
2. The star of it, James Wilby isn't a real life creeper like Hammer is.
3. Young Hugh Grant
4. Young Rupert Graves
5. Actually has a happy ending
6. The film was made in 1987 when gay films didn't make the characters have gayness as their personalities.

Need I say more.

But if you're not a fan of British films or period films, you probably won't get into it.

The novel Maurice isn't insufferable because Forster wrote it in 1913 and 1914. Because of that, it has advantages. I love the book just as much as the film.

It's very ahead of its time.

No, it's the one with timothee chalamet and armie hammer. Timothee plays some twink in love with a closeted foreign student that dumps him and gets married with some chick and the movie ends. That's the plot
Pretty much thats the gist of it. I did like it though. I borrowed the DVD off a friend after fixing his car. I related to the heartbreak aspect of it cos something not totally dissimilar happened to me when I was young and all. I had an unrequited crush on a guitarist in a band I was a roadie for

It's no Maurice and Howards End though. Those are both far superior. And Maurice is a way better gay film than Call Me By Your Name. The funny thing is Maurice takes place in the Edwardian era and even that movie still gets a happy ending (a big deal considering the time it was written in) compared to Call Me By Your Name which is decades later.
Agree with that, Maurice is one of me favourite films
The writer of the book was a straight man who admitted to being attracted to girls as young as 12.
Ewwww fucking gross cunt

who's that for? i know you gays dont like stuff like that but do you know people who do?
I've done it a few times, it aint bad. Way prefer it to doing anal. One time I was doing the deed with a guy in the front of an old HQ Holden I had at the time, we was parked up somewhere quiet and the cops rocked up, I swallowed cos I didnt want it getting on the nice cloth upholstery it had and also needed to lie to the cops that we was just resting while we let the old Holden cool down.... so I had to swallow

trainspotting is like probably my third favorite film behind apocalypse now and goodfellas british films kick ass
Death At A Funeral (the fucking British original 2007 one, I won't acknowledge that shit Chris Rock remake) is another great British film.

The gay reveal in it is also brilliant.

i meant the movie its self not eating semen

Imma check it out... someday... i'm more into horror movies and action flicks but i will watch it
Great. It's a shame Maurice isn't as well known as CMBYN. It's so much better.

Also, James Wilby is hotter than Armie. There. I said it.

When you love or are attracted to the person, you won't care.

What the hell was that about. I know it was in the book too, but I draw the line at eating fruit with cum on it. :D

Way to ruin a perfectly good peach, man.
"Timothée chalamet is an attractive young man, the audience will sure love to see him fuck a peach and eat it. This is erotic, right?" - the director, probably

Meanwhile me watching the scene:

To be fair, it's in the book, but it could have just been left out.
Some things work way better written than on film. American Psycho is a good example of that, and a screen adaptation well done

I like food and men but unless it's mealtime, I do not like to mix them. The closest I'd ever get to incorporating food into my sex life is that chocolate flavored lube, and even then, that will only ever be consumed orally
man cheddar
Cheesed to meet you :smug:

I think it was supposed to represent how Elio was ashamed and how Oliver ate it to lessen his shame, but lol, it was gross.
