I have such mixed feelings on this film. On one hand the age difference thing is weird, but I love James Ivory's film work, and I like the whole feeling of that movie.

It's no Maurice and Howards End though. Those are both far superior. And Maurice is a way better gay film than Call Me By Your Name. The funny thing is Maurice takes place in the Edwardian era and even that movie still gets a happy ending (a big deal considering the time it was written in) compared to Call Me By Your Name which is decades later.
