It does bother me that there isn't a place for frank discourse on such topics, as lots of users on this website are performative moral conservatives, so would shit up any open discussion on anything taboo or unusual. Like the attempt at the kink thread, frustrated by people who can't take things seriously enough to want to understand them. In order to understand something, someone must first think it is worth understanding, which filters out those wholly opposed to the thing, then want to understand, which filters out those who just want to sate it, and left is those few participants or neutral minds capable of detachment. This applies to basically anything that produces enemies by existing, like religion or culture.

I imagine it is a similar impulse that a lot of men have towards tomboys, where they want a member of the opposite sex that is like their own sex, because they are more relatable or something.

It actually is possible to make a kink thread through indirect means potentially such as a kink criticism thread, but I believe such discussion is already found throughout the website since niche fetishes and kinks are fairly common among lolcows. It's already everywhere. There doesn't need to be a specific concentration of users discussing the topic, however that doesn't mean kiwis aren't aware or involved in sexual deviance ourselves. After all, it takes someone more involved to make criticism and banter beyond a-logging or solely expressing disgust. I wouldn't do it.

Mine? Ugh, I can imagine fewer things less appealing to me than talking about my own sexual behaviors and activities (least of all because I am pretty boring with such matters). A cold discussion on the topic from a distance sounds interesting. Though given that, yeah, a lot of it is discussed when immediately pertinent to a particular cow, probably not necessary.

A lot of them legitimately believe all straight men are at least somewhat gay and are repressing it, so that they're doing some sort of moral good by trying to "awaken" straight men by creeping on them and browbeating them. Not unlike trannies trying to "crack eggs," as they say, also framing it as some sort of inevitability or moral service. It's very predatory behavior, but of course you're homophobic if you point that out.

A lot of it is probably the result of pornbrain, too much watching "straight married neighbor does me in the butt" or "paying a straight man ten bucks for mouthy yum-yums" and either 1. started believing it's really something that can happen, straight men secretly being willing to be gay, or 2. fetishizing it and wanting to do that in real life. I'm pretty confident saying the vast majority of straight men are not "bicurious," much like how the vast majority of gay men are not willing to try v*gina to see what it's like (censoring the v-word because it scares me).

The other part of it might be "oh man, I really like this guy, but he's straight," and them being in denial about it. Like "no, he's secretly gay but repressed, I'm sure of it- I can still get into his pants." As opposed to accepting "okay, I guess I can't be with him." Which I've been there, and I get that it can be an absolutely crushing feeling (come to think of it, the overwhelming majority of my crushes have been straight,) but if you're not an entitled creep, you should be able to accept that firstly, it can't happen, and secondly, if it did then the other guy would be miserable in the relationship. Perhaps the global cheering for el-gee-bee-tees and pride month posturing gave a lot of normie gays a massively overinflated sense of entitlement- if basically every major company and media institution can bend to my will with regards to sexuality, why can't John Straightman?
