Because the rest of the alphabet soup "got their dues" years ago. They have all the rights and respect and yada yada they've been bitching about for decades but this generation has been raised to always fight for something so they move to the shiny new "cause" to fight for. Just happened to be trannies in this case.

Because the activists relied on it for money, the gays got what they wanted, and without a new cause the activists would be out income.
No one really cares if you're gay, to the point that the person who doesn't like the gays is seen as the deviant. You be out and hold a job, you can be out and go out with your lover, you can be out and join the military because it's already as gay as eight guys blowing nine guys, very few people care. And as time goes on, the people who do care are losing ground.
But the T, now there's a cause that has some controversy around it. Think of how many people we have threads on whose job is 'trans activist', the money is still flowing.
 
traps are only a thing in anime. i've had the displeasure of meeting a lot of trannies and not one of them has come close to passing. as soon as a tranny opens his mouth he may as well just slap his mangled cock onto the table.
