I don't get it, and really haven't ever gotten it. I've never been ashamed of myself in any real way, but at the same time have not really felt the need to make my sexuality a huge part of my personality (outside of being suckered into it through social pressure in some situations early on into adulthood) Even the getting married thing always struck me as a strange hill to die on, as it's so performative and pointless if you are simply willing to be with someone regardless of what others think.

As for media, I'm actually made uncomfortable by most gay things in media weirdly enough. It comes off as more fujo-y than genuine and it's offputting. Like sure, you could eventually be gay in Mass Effect but Garrus wasn't an option so what was the point? BUT YOU CAN GET THE SHALLOW HUNKY MAN THO (or Kaidan, who 90% of players probably killed cause Ashley was more useful in your squad if you went any form of biotics.. y'know, 2 games before his romance was even available..)
