Jesus Christ, Kamoc is really fucking bitter about CS's success.
Also, lol at him getting snippy and condescending with one of his followers. He and VoidBurger have a lot in common.

Written LPs seem so much more labor-intensive and yet also a lot easier to pull off being funny in them because you can go back over your post, re-read and edit until you're satisfied, rather than flying by the seat of your pants and hoping you manage to land a zinger while recording. And hell, maybe I am a little nostalgic for an earlier era of internet humor where you had to convey the funny just through text and pictures.

It feels... purer, somehow.

I loved The Dark Id's LPs. Now that you've reminded me of him, I need to go binge-read all his Drakengard LPs.

More on topic, I'd never heard of this tortoiseontour or whatever his name is until this thread. What exactly is this raging hateboner he has for Everything Wrong With about? Like, having watched maybe part of one of those videos a couple years back, I was under the impression that they were mostly tongue-in-cheek and weren't meant to be taken as particularly serious reviews. So what's he getting so worked up about? Did EWW kill his mom? Rape his dad? Just poke fun at his favorite movie until he flew into an autistic rage?
 
No you guys, it's over, CinemaSins is finished. This is up there with not putting a hyphen in Spider-Man, and frankly it's the final nail in the coffin. How will he ever truly recover?

Doing a twitter search for cinemasins and his handle reveals an entire year of snarky bitterness. He's fucking obsessed.
 
kamoc is like a video production lamprey that only exists to jump from random pop culture teat to teat praying this one'll have a bit more milk than the last one

yet he somehow still is less successful than voidburger who manages to do little to no work at all.

Kamoc takes it way too seriously and is going in to everything cinema sins does is terrible mode. It's like if I couldn't admit it was cool of voidburger and crew to raise money for that children's hospital. Not everything they do is horrible and I just find her a bit obnoxious really.
Making fun of cinema sins is fair, but when you start nitpicking every little thing and you're on your high horse it just comes across as petty. I actually kind of like kamoc's videos on cinema sins, but don't pretend like you're doing some great service to film criticism pointing out flaws that anyone with half a brain could.
 
I remember when Bob made the first EWWEWW video (it was on a Sherlock Holmes movie) he promised to turn down the vitriol a bit (because some people criticized it), and yet if anything he's even angrier at them now. (I've only seen a bit of two of his videos, but the later one seems far more embittered and spergy.)

I thought the whole point of CinemaSins was the nitpicks were deliberately stupid and petty. I'd ask what it is that makes these people incapable of understanding a joke, but we all know the answer: it begins with "a" and ends with a blank-eyed stare.

As far as I can tell CinemaSins have totally internalised the deluge of counter-criticism they get any time they release a video, so I think when you spend this much time and effort making a response video to totally own the fuck out of them, the joke's on you when they ignore it completely.

I'd say he's trying to capitalise on their name recognition to score some easy ad money (no doubt true) but this seems bizarrely personal to him.
 
I'm guessing he's so determined to bring CS down because they probably mocked several of his favorite movies, which is basically worse than killing a cow's entire family before their eyes. I've never actually heard of this guy before this thread, but look at how seriously so many other cows take pop culture. It's all they can cling to in their sad, pathetic lives. Maybe if he got that Polygone job he'd have less free time and wouldn't have to obsess over CS. Of course, what he does to CS is in no way stalking, but us reposting VB's public tweets totally crosses the line into unhealthy stalking territory.

Regardless of how the words fall in, that intro looks kinda shit. But the difference is, he doesnt claim to be a graphic designer. Cinemasins just claims to be a guy who reviews movies, and movies are primarily focused on and judged by their design and the quality of the design or whatever other art they produce. You cant critique a movie without bringing these things up but that doesnt mean that you have to ACTUALLY be a designer, 3D artist, storyboard artist, director, writer, musician, fucking media technician.... in order to critique the movie or any of its constituent elements.

Bob here is just doing what literal children on DeviantArt do, or just little children in general do. "Hey I dont think this thing looks very good." "Oh yeah? Are you a designer? I didnt think so! Let's see YOU do better, huh?! You cant criticize this work unless you yourself are a graphic designer held in high esteem by your peers! Unless you can do it better you cant critique me! I'm rubber, youre glue!" That type of shit.
 
What are the odds CinemaSins did the intro that way on purpose, just so people like Kamoc would sperg out?
 
I'll play devil's advocate here, cinema sins is genuinely terrible and worth ripping into. On one hand it helps advance the "BUT THAT'S WRONG!" School of film criticism that's so popular on the internet and doesn't really address whether the film gets its emotion across like actual criticism should. That'd be fine if the videos were treated as just trivia but the fervor around them is so strong and ever present it's clear the followers see it as a legitimate form of criticism, and anytime they try their hand at real criticiam it feels like a middle schooler's attempt rather than a grown man. See: "civil war will bomb because it's going up against batman vs superman".

Now with that being said, kamoc is still retarded because another youtuber named Shaun And Jen did a much better, more concise takedown last year. So he's not just beating a dead horse, he's beating it with a termite infested stick.
