The co-counsel for Nick was Matt Kayhaka (sp). He's the sponsoring lawyer to allow Randazza into MN, pro hac vice. I think his office is in the Twin Cities.

So, that's one flight and hotel Nick probably didn't have to pay for.
Edit to add: Actually Monty's appeal lawyer appears to be taller, and he had to raise the stand after Randazza spoke. Marc left it as is, presumably to save time. See:

I went back and actually watched Elissa's clip of the hearing.

I blame Sean for putting it in my head that Randazza was videoconferencing in before the feed actually started and before I listened to the baseball announcer play-by-play.

But apparently I wasn't paying as much attention as I thought I was with audio only.

I also didn’t realize how much the Zoom technical issues caused the stream to miss.

I definitely didn't hear 2/3 of Randazza's opening 15 minutes the first go around.

IANAL, but I wasn't particularly impressed with Randazza's performance either for being a hired gun.

He did that cutesy stalling tactic of "OMG Your Honor! You keep asking me great questions right off my sheet!" too often for my taste. It made him seem disingenuous and phony.

It has changed. Nick said he would do this type of content the second he could. The problem is he does not do it. Doesn’t do short videos, doesn’t cover relationship advice or articles, does not even cover law relating to relationships and family or whatever. He does nothing. If he actually did the content he says he wants to do instead of whatever the fuck he’s doing he’d be fine.

I don't think Sean should've made the hypothetical promise to stop poking fun at Nick if Rekieta asked him to.

I don't think Sean's teasing comes from a place of hate or malice. His streams are very content-focused on law topics.

But Sean has also cultivated a community of paypigs and followers who desperately want to insert Nick drama into every topic and stream. Sean plays along, which is what makes it work.

If you take the playful Rekieta mocking away, there's not much left holding together his small community.

I also doubt Martin has the balls to put his foot down. Much like the Nick screeching struggle session, Sean didn't really put up any opposition at all to Ethan Ralph popping into his stream yesterday to scold him for making fun of poor, misunderstood Rekieta. Ralph also essentially had Sean explicitly state himself as fact that Null had run a chan pedo board simply by repetition of "But it happened" or something to that effect.

Sean rolls over and shows his belly very quickly when faced with any opposition. It's made me wonder what he's like in the courtroom as a criminal defense attorney.

He's likely unwilling to attempt to police narrative again because of how fucking badly it went when he shower texted Null or is so incapacitated by his alcoholism Million Degree Fever that he hasn't seen any of Sean's messages.

also what's the joke Sean mentioned about Metal Gear Solid or something? was it the "balldo" meme I saw? because there was nothing spicy about that in the least in my mind

He's extremely aware of the sektur and because of this he tries to tread somewhat carefully (a difficult task due to his heftiness.) He's also not going to go full Bloodsports either since he's an actual practicing lawyer, unlike The Nose.

He waded into the pool and wasn't ready to deal with what was there. He was fucking lazy and made the farms eat shit in front of the world by not knowing 9chan enough.

Dick thinks he did a good job, which should be an indicator for him to realize how much he screwwed the pooch.
