I've tried to follow this thread, and I've read the entire thread but for the life of me I cannot figure out what the fuck all of these people are arguing about. Laur attacked QueenOfBlending for some nebulous reason I never understood and now the same is happening with this Katie person, and there's Steve running amok "defending" people by doing nothing other than saying he's "defending people."
Is there rhyme or reason to any of this or is Laur just screaming into the wind and random people are making fun of her causing even more screaming into the wind?
I've been following since the beginning, back in July, so I can help clarify a bit more.
The post on r/BGCr that sparked all the current attention on Lillee originated with a person whose IRL identity is currently unknown.
A couple of days after the original post was made, Lauren Elyse, an MUA, asked her twitter followers if anyone knows the deal with all of the LJ drama happening over on reddit. She presumably got the Cliff's notes of the whole mess, and so moved on with her life, like any normal person would do.
Meanwhile, Laur was attempting to stalk and dox the unknown original reddit poster, as well as one of the mods who banned her from r/BGCr after she flipped out and spammed multiple posts.
In typical Laur fashion, she couldn't actually figure out anyone's real name, so the drunk squirrel operating her brain decided that the culprit must be her old enemy, "Joe," which is possibly the name of an unrelated person who made fun of Lillee's art on r/delusionalartists back in 2016. Or possibly just a name that Laur found at the bottom of a wine bottle. No one knows for sure, except maybe Laur's personal Homeland Security Agent/Private Investigator/IT guy.
Somewhere in the first week or two, Laur stalks and doxxes Voicemail Anon, but alas her troubles continue.
For the next month, Laur's cybersleuthing to find some kind of ringleader/Final Boss leads her from Joe, to Null, to Harper, to Jenny, back to Null, round and round with these handful of names until one day...the mastermind is now someone named "Lauren." Either Laur or Lillee has googled some combination of "Lillee Jean" "reddit" and "lolcow" and discovered Lauren Elyse's old tweet from weeks earlier.
Laur fixates and immediately begins googling furiously to find out more about brown makeup artists named Lauren. Her search results yield information on Lauren Elyse (who at this point has casually mentioned LJ in passing exactly once,) but also a completely different brown makeup artist named Lauren: Queen of Blending (who, at this point has never heard of LJ at all.) Laur, instead of noticing that these two women are different ages, live in different places, and have *different fucking faces* like any normal person would do, decides that Lauren Elyse and Lauren Queen of Blending are in fact the *same* person, and also the source of all the "bullying." So, Laur goes on the warpath, mass-flaging Lauren Elyse's twitter account and spamming QoB's job with nonsense emails, trying to get her fired.
This results in the Truemans gaining the negative attention of even more people, all of whom now realize that anonymity is the way to go before engaging with these two kooks. This infuriates Laur, but occasionally someone new and naive will get involved in the callout party on twitter while still using their main account, and Laur zeroes in and makes them the scapegoat, fixates on them and repeatedly tries to threaten them and dox them, and just generally fails to learn even a little bit from her many embarrassing public fuck-ups.
Two weeks ago, the scapegoat was Sonia, the pregnant girl. This week, they've chosen Katie.
