Vesuvias: " This is how you errupt when you're a volcano."

La Palma "FUCK IT! WE'LL DO IT LIVE"
La Palma is just catering to her audience. We don't want one big one and done boom. We want pretty lava fountains and pleasant rumblings slowly building in frequency and intensity until finally we have the pinnacle, the release of half the island sheering off and dooming the west coast to a watery grave.

On the National Geographic Institute’s Website you can find cartographic viewers and image galleries of the volcano. It’s interesting.

The volcano‘s activity is very aggressive today, with more than 100 earthquakes registered since midnight. The strongest has been a 3.7 located in Villa de Mazo. (Source)

A new partial collapse of the cone is causing big flows of lava:

Evacuated one of the most famous brothels on La Palma: Las Martelas whorehouse ceases due to volcanic activity. (Source)

There are weapons/systems that can cause Earthquakes. Just like there are systems that can create rain and produce lightning storms.

It isn't as James Bondy as people think, It just requires a shite load of energy to pull off. Plus, messing with man is one thing, messing with nature is opening a pandoras box.
Aside from the almost purely Nationstates.net plot of summoning a monsoon to trap the enemy's tank division by turning what should have been dry arid plains into a giant mud pit, the actual tactical or strategic value of summing natural disasters really isn't worth it when you could just drop a few JDAM's or Paveways on their ass for quicker and cheaper.

Plus, much like using a bioweapon there is a chance it could always blow back on your own soldiers & people.

The GoT of volcanoes.

The GoT of volcanoes.
This has been one disappointing Doom of Valyria. There aren't even dragons falling from the sky!

Absolutely. It's why these weapons have never been used in anger. Similar to the Tsar Bomba 2; it was theoretically so powerful, that even as a test drop, the USSR decided not to do it, as their scientists were genuinely concerned that the blast could knock the Earth off of its' axis. Even a little nudge, would see is spiralling towards the sun.

they must have added like 3 extra 0's to whatever number they envisioned. if it had enough force to knock earth off its axis, spiraling towards the sun would be the least of our problems. we'd die before it gets anywhere near the sun.

Day 38:

It's getting easier to find streams doing this the longer it goes, but these two consistently have cool stats and stuff too.

Edit: And as I'm watching there was another earthquake just before I posted just 12km down. Last time I mentioned earthquakes they were 40km down. I've been reading this thread long enough to know that's NOT good!
