Thanks...Geologists are not paying attention to whats going on here for whatever reason. I have identified a major are of deformation on the slop that is parallel with the 1949.

I believe if this eruption goes on we are going to get a significant mass sliding into the ocean.

This fissure was spotted yesterday

Don't let them memory hole this. Since no one is talking about it.

I have geolocated what i suspect is actually a sliding landmassView attachment 2774598

If this goes on like this. Its gonna happen. The island is not stable
So can we go back to doomposting like old times?

Well, the landslide may not be massive and at once. It may happen in phases. Nothing for certain

But the eruption continues now its been almost 3 months and its only got more stronger. Tonight is ridiculous, Spanish media report last night that the lava ejection was almost 1km high into the atmosphere at times.

Thats insane. There are pressures underneath that island that we cannot even comphrehend. Its certainly doom if you live on the island. We really need someone on top of that ridge to report on any ground separation but the area is dense wildnerness. Wish Bushcraft Bear would go check it out. Maybe make a video of him grilling some steaks again.

Some MAJOR fucking shaking tonight

Mother nature is unpredictable. No one is for certain about anything that’s happening in La Palma except that the volcano is not stopping anytime soon.

Interesting that a lava tube opened up a mile below the volcano and we heard nothing.

I really think this whole thing is being downplayed by people who haven't even looked at the data or made any observations. Its just a mass consensus of academic laziness, like Covid in December of 2019.

* Wash your hands * nonsense phase of the whole pandemic. Yes coof ended up being mild but it was clearly airborne months before academics said it was. Classic example of why "Experts" should not be relied upon for anything

is there a way we can inform the people of La Palma about this since the useless local government doesnt seem to want to.
if we can prevent even one person from dying on this, thats one more than none.

No and i wouldn't

I'm all for a mega tsunami wiping out millions of urban woke faggots and their IPhones

Plot twist both sides fall.

I'm just joking, but how bad would that be?
I was always more Team Wall than Team Meteor. But if a volcano-caused mega-tsunami is what it takes to wipe out millions of degenerates, so be it. Sad for the kids, babies, animals, and non-progressives, but their deaths won’t be in vain.

So... I'm in an east coast city, so how far are we talking that this tsunami can come in? I figure I should start planning an escape route to the mountains.
Unless you live on a barrier island or close enough to the coast to feel the sea breeze then you'd probably be fine.

I hope nothing happens for the sole reason that I don't want Bushcraft Bear to get swept away.

Should we start crowdfunding a "Save Bushcraft Bear" initiative? He won't go willingly, but if we can get agents to tranq him as he leaves his house, helicopter him off island, and re-release him in some nice woods with an ear tag in sure he'll be fine.

As long as they also get his cat.

No government aid until after the holidays! Because not only is it not urgent right now, it won't be urgent until... well sometime after the holidays I guess. How comforting.
Perhaps they know that if they wait a little longer, there will be no one left alive to whom to pay the aid.

how big is that fracture now or is it just the same?

Idk, from the Florida POV I feel like if folks get some warning, there wouldn’t be an issue with loss of life except absolute fucking morons, because those impacted will only have to get like 10 miles inland to be safe. The very areas that would need to evacuate in an orderly fashion to get across the bridges are used to doing so during hurricanes.

But the property loss would be beyond anything imaginable.
