1- I have a tendency to overdraw everything rather than just using shading to show more subtle details like rolls of fat on people's faces, and didn't really realize how much it would stick out when resized for posting. (actual explanation.)

2- That's not Chris at all. His cellmate killed him and is wearing his skin. (entertaining explanation)
