Join the resistance, vote half life 2 to end the tyrannical Deus Ex (2002) (Soon Deus Ex Remastered (2026))

In a theoretical world, it's HL2 even with all its missteps. But it's for the Farms, there's only Deus Ex, because its fantasy has become (sadly shittier) reality.

Also it has better quotes.

Man, Desu Ex vs. HL2... I like HL2 and appreciate the tech advancements, but when I think of Deus Ex, I think of the intrigue I felt exploring the MJ12 underground bunker in Hell's Kitchen for the first time, or running around on the ship with the invisibility augment and the Dragon's Tooth spooking the shit out of the guards. If the Page route was finished, Deus Ex would probably be my GOAT.

In comparison, the most fun part of HL2 is probably Ravenholm, and outside of that only the beginning and end of the game stick out in my mind, the rest just kind of blurs together. Shootouts in HL2 are fun (and better than Deus Ex), but I don't feel the game has much to offer outside of that. Puzzles stop being fun once you've done them once. The rest of the gameplay is either traveling to the next location or waiting for some NPC to stop talking so you can do the former. I'm not saying HL2 should have had a bunch of RPG systems, just that what it does have is not good enough.

Honorable mention to raiding Nova Prospekt with the Antlions, that was fun too.

Deus Ex all the way! Anyone who disagrees eats soyfood.

Mario 64 over walk 'n talk shooter. I can excuse the first HL, but 2 gave every fraud game dev permission to stuff their game with unskippable in-game cutscenes. Disgusting.

Deus Ex over Half-Life 2 is one of the easiest choices ever.

I think Kojima is overrated and needs tard-wrangling almost as much as George Lucas does, but his heart is in the right place—see the "journalist mode" added to his latest mailman simulator, His fans are annoying, especially when they won't shut up about "European extreme" or whatever it's called, but Mario's fans are worse. Nintendo is not sending its best people. They're sending speedrun trannies, they're sending developmentally-stunted soyboys, and some, I assume, are good people. The bing-bing-wahoo needs to end, and this is as good a place as any to end it.

G-Man: Your assignment to the Finals' Bracket has been secured. I assure you the host will have no issues on the matter.

Walton Simons: I take it he was agreeable?

G-Man: It was simply an illusion of choice.

Simons: Has he been convinced?

G-Man: Quite amusingly so. After our proposal was introduced, he was entranced by the offer that he easily submitted to it.

Simons: The voting — the spite-voting is intensifying to the point where we may not be able to contain it.

G-Man: Is there any necessity to it? Perhaps we should let them spite-vote, the competition will attract more distractions, thus giving us enough time to make certain adjustments.

Simons: I've received reports of spite votes on other divisions. There's not enough votes to go around, and the farmers are starting to get desperate.

G-Man: I have already foreseen their actions. They can smell their inevitable choices fail them, and thus it will make easy work for our... assets to make a move.

Simons: Hmm. I hope you're not underestimating the problem. The others may not go as quietly as you think. Intelligence indicates they're behind the problems in Divisions VI and VIII.

G-Man: Such is the case when certain users think they are running the polls, but their tastes left them behind long ago. Our fates have been sealed.

Simons: We have other problems.

G-Man: Doomguy?

Simons: One unexpected variable. I have someone in place though. I'm more concerned about Tetris. He's relocated to Division VII.

G-Man: Our legacy is far more advanced than those blocks, as is popularity, and their... technological inflexibility has allowed us to make progress in areas they refuse to consider.

Simons: The GoldSrc Engine?

G-Man: Among other areas, but I must admit that my employers have been somewhat disappointed with the performance of the primary asset, that being Ms. Vance.

Simons: The secondary asset should be online soon. It's currently undergoing preparations and should be operational within a few days. My people will continue to report on its progress. If necessary, your primary will be terminated.

G-Man: I assure you Mr. Simons, our final battle will be a reality and the decisive judgement will come soon enough — a game to define Kiwifarms. The Golden Age of the PC Master Race spoke of the final battle on the Farms. Soon that battle will be a reality, and we will be known in gaming: as legends.

Mario 64 vs. Snake Eater is such a tough choice, both are very good for completely different reasons, but MGS2 is my favorite and I've spent more time in 64 so it gets my vote. I'm happy with either moving on.

On the side Deus vs. HL2 is an easy Half Life pick. Dues Ex has a cool world but I simply don't enjoy playing it as much as Half Life and gameplay ultimately matters most.

i don't understand why you get dumb and autistic stickers from the community feature submissions thread, this is serious shit
Because some faggots treat the CH thread like their personal charcuterie board and think if every post isn't tailored specifically to their tastes then it's automatically bad.

OT: I voted Deus Ex because I wish to remember it as it was and not as the hideous remaster it's about to be.

I fear that I´ll eventually be forced to choose between DOOM and Deus Ex.
